Thank you. I don't know where that **** comes from. A fighter's European so he's automatically robotic by association with Wlad? :huh A fighter favors the 1-2 (though certainly isn't limited to it, as we've seen Kessler use the hook and uppercut to great effect in the Mundine, Calzaghe, and Haussler fights to name just a few) so he's robotic? (Manny Pacquiao, Shane Mosley, Larry Holmes are robotic?) I don't know where this logic sprouts from.
Robotic must meen that what you are doing, you are doing to perfection, no? sure Kessler is robotic!:bbb But hey look at his fights, I can't se a one dimensional fighter, against Calzaghe he worked very good in the inside game. You just have to give that Calzaghe is very good. Time will show you that Kessler is the real deal, so just hate when you can before he proof you wrong :yep
:good Kessler is awesome at 168. Dont see any need for him to move to 175 just yet, maybe a year or two but not at the moment.
So it sounds like everyone thinks Kessler is the best super middle in the world, if you consider Calzaghe to be at light heavy permanently or retiring. I would like to see Kessler stay at 168. Which is a very strong division and his natural weight class. By the time he fights and very likely beats Bute, and/or the winner of Pascal/Inkin (probably Inkin), there will be Carl Froch, and then there will likely be Taylor, who will probably have another two or three HBO televised wins by then with his hype train back in full force, then there will be Pavlik, who by that time will be a full fledged super middle, or if Pavlik has lost it will probably have been to Abraham, who himself will be at 168. By that time you will have guys coming out of the pack, like Andre Ward who, if he keeps winning, will be a hot commodity by 2010. You could get a Kessler / Ward fight then and that would be big. Chad is a dangerous fight for anyone, and Kessler has plenty of money to make right here at 168 where he belongs. So many options: Near future: Bute, Froch, Inkin/Pascal winner 1-2 years: Taylor, Pavlik, Abraham, 2-3 years: Ward, whoever else rises up (Andrade 2, Direll, Green, a host of others) He can become a big international and American star if he knocks out Taylor or the winner of Abraham/Pavlik on American Television. Stay the course at 168 Kessler. Don't take the move up money bait.
Calzaghe would probably beat him again. I'd favour Hopkins against Kessler as well, Dawson is 50/50 IMO.
In my opinion both Pavlik and Taylor can beat him, But most people in this forum find that impossible, Of course we wont find out untill a fight happens but due to Kessler's love for no-name fighters I dont see it happening anytime soon.
Kessler is so ovverated. He is a solid all round fighter but he isnt great at anything. Froch would push him all the way. Froch is underated and will prove his worth eventually.
Nah, in a poll a couple of days ago with Taylor vs Kessler it was 50/50, so plenty of people agree with you that Jermain would probably win. I think Jermain is too good for Kess, but it would be a great fight.
Hopkins is a fight I don't like for Mikkel. They need to stay clear of that. Dawson would be favoured due to styles, but at least there is a chance for a KO. I'd like to see a Calzaghe rematch to see what Mikkel learnt and if he could improve, Calzaghe would be a strong favourite for obvious reasons. I think Mikkel would dominate Johnson, Taylor or anybody else.
Dawson and Bute have the best chances....southpaws with good speed, good movement, and good jabs - the Calzaghe fight proved he can't handle that so yeah Dawson i'm certain would stop Kessler, and Bute has a good chance of winning though not a shutout like it would be with Dawson, but outside of those two i'd say Hopkins has a 40/60 chance in Kesslers favor, but you can never really cant out Hopkins other then that i dont really see anybody else beating Kessler or atleast at 168 or 175
