so because mogens palle doesnt want to put his cash-cow in with dawson, that equals a dawson win..? some people also said he ducked miranda, so i guess thats also a mirande win then.. :yep nice logics..
No, I never made that point. My point is that there hesitance to put Kessler in there with Chad is a strong indication that they view that as a very difficult fight for Kessler. They straight up said that Chad is too big for Kessler.
I wouldn't. They are about even in terms of resume and accomplishments. Kessler may have a better chin and slightly more power. Chad is better than Kessler in virtually every other department.
80% of the Showtime audience voted that he lost to Glen Johnson. Outside of the Calzaghe fight, no audience would vote that way in any fight replay of Kessler's.
That's because Kessler really hasn't fought anyone besides Calzaghe. Not one of the guys he fought besides Calzaghe are as battle tested and tough as Johnson, not one. Your point makes no sense. Yeah, many thought Dawson lost to Johnson but everyone thought Kessler lost to Calzaghe. If want to discount Kessler's most difficult fight, then do the same for Chad.
lets get it straight, so there is no confusion.. "they" didnt say anything, mogens palle did.. mikkel is palle´s money-maker, he could have said, that chad was too green, too big or too ugly, as it stands, the money in it, isnt big enough for palle. we should be able to agree upon, that chad dawson at present time, is a risk/reward nightmare, not just for kessler, but for anyone.. do i agree with palle on this, hell no, i would love to see the fight.. but this is palle in a nutshell.. i refuse to believe mikkel as a championship fighter, would say, hey mogens im afraid of chad, can you please help me, by acting like a douchebag and ignorant ****, so i can get away from dawson.. TO ME THIS DOESNT PROVE ANYTHING REGARDING AN ACTUAL MATCHUP; THIS IS A BUSINESS DECISION.. the thing with palle is that he has his fighters by the balls. all the fighters in his stable, has signed contracts, which states, that as long as they are ranked, their contracts continues for 2 more years.. both mads larsen and rudy markussen tried to play hardball with him, ending up losing 2-3 years of their respective careers, so kessler cant do **** about it.. sad but true.. so you can safely bet your ass in a state prison, that palle is calling ALL the shots..
Make all the excuses you want for Kessler. His promoter thinks Chad is too big for him. Kessler himself has called out bunch of fighters from 160-175 and not one of them is named Chad Dawson. Dawson is bad style matchup for Kessler. Kessler knows it, Palle knows it, everyone but his delusional fans know it. If Kessler ever fought Dawson, he would have difficult fight on his hands and I believe he would lose. This nonsense about him beating Dawson with ease is pure fantasy. Kessler has never beat anyone anywhere near as good as Dawson. And another thing, Calzaghe is a bigger name than Kessler and is better than Kessler and he has named Dawson as a potential opponent. So all this nonsense about Dawson not being a big enough name is bull****.
Johnson would lose a wide UD, Kessler excells against straight forward pressure & Dawson certainly wouldn't react well to Kessler's straight right and right uppercut, but that fight is a toss up. Hopkins is too old, don't confuse Kessler with Pavlik, please.
Bute would be a battle!!! Possibly Froch from what i have seen, but need to see him against better opposition, but the guy can wallop!!
For all the Chad dawson bummers!!! First it was Pavlik you were hyping now its big bad chad who LOST to an old age past his prime Johnson.
Dawson would beat Kessler in any weightclass. Hopkins has a decent chance. As does Glen Johnson. Taylor is far too flawed.
Kessler is a good boxer i cant see anyone in his division beating him, he will unify the division and to be honest i can't see anyone beating him.
Kessler has enough to worry about at his own weight right now. I don't see Kessler as a light heavyweight. The idea of him moving UP to fight a LIGHT HEAVY, when there are big names MOVING UP into his division (Taylor already, then Pavlik & Abraham) seems a bit redundant if I'm being honest. Some ppl are low on him because he lost - shock, horror! - to Calzaghe. I have a more positive outlook, and see plenty to gain at 168 with a number of threats coming into their primes & maybe a really big money fight on the horizon. Kessler has come back looking good, and I think with him being about in his prime a big fight will come soon. I see the biggest threat as Arthur Abraham, a hungry fighter with a solid reign at 160 (IBF title) who is even stronger at super middle (as seen in Miranda rematch, when he didn't seem to unleash his biggest shots yet had Miranda destroyed). I think Abraham secures a Sturm fight, wins, and entices Kessler to Germany for a European super fight. Due to power, precision, and location, and the fact that it could realistically happen, I see Abraham as THE threat to Kessler. I would still favor Kessler to win, however. If Kessler wins his old WBC belt back (from Froch or Pascal), I think Andre Dirrell will eventually become Kessler's mandatory. This will be a hard fight when Dirrell is ready, Showtime might add some extra money, Kessler probably will want to benefit from American exposure at some point, so if it happend in America, a ready for it Dirrell will pose problems. But Dirrell looks vulnerable and often seems unsure of himself in there, in spite of having impressive speed/power. Karoly Balzsay may have the best style to beat Kessler. He has European precision, but is also a very relaxed, aggressive, compact southpaw. With power. BUT, I see no chance of this happening as Universum protect their champs. Balzsay will beat Inkin for the WBO belt in January. Won't be surprised to see Inkin - if he loses to Balzsay - get "suddenly" ranked highly by the WBA (elim with Perdomo?) and get a crack at Kessler. Inkin's too fragile for the job. A fight he needed maybe a year and a half ago if he was going to perform. Don't give tough contenders like Zuniga, Bika etc much of a chance.
So Kessler is twice as good as Pavlik but Hopkins, who beat Kelly's ass, isn't twice as good as him? Try again.
