You've got your hand on it. No way would Dawson-Kessler be a shutout, especially at 168. Glen Johnson caused Dawson lots of problems, do you think Kessler doesn't bring a better overall game than Johnson? Stop swinging off nutsacks and add some objectivity.

Blocky, Pantera2000, Toopretty, newcomers who shifts names on and of .......and Calzaghe haters, because if Kessler is good, Calzaghe would be better!.
It seems that alot of the fans who blaim Kessler for not fighting in US, some how don't want him to do so in the first place, why - the fear of a lose to a "EU-trash" fighter :huh .

I agree, but I think Bute can make it interesting, as well as JT. Young Ward may be able to best the robotic powerhouse in Kessler.

wow you must one of those who reads peoples minds, perhaps you could tell me what kessler is thinking right now?.. you must be proud of your ability..

yep kessler made a list of his 5 preferred choices, that list included the nr 1 ranked lhw, the nr 2 ranked lhw, the nr 1 ranked midleweight, the nr 2 rankde midleweight, PERHAPS YOU CAN SEE THE PATTERN, ILL GIVE YOU A HINT.. 1 AND 2.. NOT 3..

the only reason rjj is on the list, is because he was mikkels idol..

i can see mikkel is a *****.. but hey, you already knew that, being able to read minds..

i have no problem with you thinking dawson would win, i would make him a slight favorite, can you on the other hand ,cope with the fact, that "the dellusionals" might think kessler could win.. ? OR DOES IT HURT YOUR feelings little fella..

Ohhhh no not this again....Kessler didn't duck Miranda...just didn't see any reason to fight the guy (who later lost to Abraham), and got one of his belts back.

I'd like to ask all you guys who believe that Kessler is a overhyped Eurotrash with trashy fights on his record 3 things.

    1. Who the Hell of all the A+ fighters out there should he be fighting?
(Besides the Miranda that got his ass kicked)

    2. And if he's so freaking shitty, why aren't anyone calling his bluff?

    3. How does help with his supposed homesafe boxing strategy, if he's taking way too big risks fighting Chad even before getting his foot in the US?

It's called making an educated guess. Kessler is a 1-2 orthodox fighter whose whole offense is setup off of the jab. He's faster and more athletic than pretty much all the guys he has faced which allows him to get away with making the mistakes he does. Dawson is a southpaw(meaning Kessler's jab would not be as effective as it would against an orthodox fighter), Dawson is taller and longer than Kessler and can fight Kessler effectively from a distance(which is what Kessler likes to do). Dawson is also faster and more athletic than Kessler. He doesn't just stand right in front of his opponent and has excellent footwork. Kessler is no dummy. If he's watched any fights of Dawson's, he knows Dawson would be a problem for him.

He targeted Taylor who was coming off of two losses(one of which Kessler saw in person) and who isn't ranked in the top two in any division.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is one of his idols as well. Perhaps he should've targeted him too.

Never once did I call Mikkel a ***** or even criticise him for not wanting to fight Dawson.

Please go back and read my posts in this thread. My problem is not with the people who think Kessler can beat Dawson, my problem is with the people who think Kessler is going to go up in weight in make easy work of Dawson. That's just plain ridiculous. There's a reason Palle and Kessler don't want to fight Dawson. Everyone can pretend it's simply because he's not a big enough name, but a big factor in Team Kessler not wanting that fight is Dawson's size, speed, and overall skill level. If Dawson was an average fighter with the same level of popularity, who was undefeated and HBO tried to make the fight, Team Kessler would make the fight in a heartbeat. The fact that Kessler is going after Taylor is a testament to this theory(and Taylor's not even undefeated. His stock has dropped significantly, and HBO doesn't seem to have much interest in the fight). He also went after Miranda who is on Dawson's level in terms of popularity. It doesn't take a genius to figur out why he would want Miranda and not Dawson.

kessler still has to prove he can compete at the top level hes accomplished against B/C level fighters but the only time he stepped it up he lost easily. I fail to see how beating the sartison's and hausslers of the worlds puts you in line for big fights and jutifies the hugging that goes on around here. His two best wins are probably andrade (who despite the controversy against bute was being thoroughly outboxed and showed he was limited) and anthony "i got knocked out by sven ottke" mundine.

Kessler didn't loose easily to Calzaghe by most peoples opinion. More importantly, I wonder how the heck you imagine how a boxer qualifies for big fights. All you can do as a boxer is to beat whatever the federations put in front of you. Kessler did that. I believe he is definitely qualified. Whether he can win is a whole different story.

As for Dawson. Of course Kessler is ready to fight Dawson, anytime anywhere. Problem at the moment is the money is not good enough. Forget that Team Palle said Dawson is a big guy. That' s just an excuse to avoid talking about the money not being good enough!

Kessler never lost easily against Calzaghe.

    Calzaghe said it himself.

even through the first four rounds then calzaghe adapted kessler couldnt live with him and it was all calzaghe from there. Calzaghe changed his angle of attack and took away kesslers weapons looked fairly simple to me
