Joshua looks a lot better then wilder does.. wilder has 0 Technique lol.. he literally relies on his power to bail him out... I mean he was getting outboxed by szpilka and Washington ...

He's a puncher and he's able to deliver his power with effect in most every fight, including a tough one like this. That's a wild card, not an embarrassment. It adds something to the mix. Flawed championship fighters with a 'get out of jail' card aren't new.

I still think Joshua and Parker have the edge over him but you can't deny what he's achieved today.

Hopefully this is the first sign of the HW division heating up!

How is Wilder-Joshua not a ridiculously exciting prospect after what we saw in Joshua-Klitschko and Wilder-Ortiz? How can anyone be sullen over these developments?

I already respected Wilder's abilities as both a fighter and a comedian.

Not so much his efforts as a philosopher/deep thinker. Deontay is also guilty of the most heinous crimes against both fashion and the english language.

We also saw what Ortiz was made of. Great boxing fundamentals as already proved. I never doubted his skills. held him high since first sight. Then what if Ortiz actually had a gastank? Or if he were 10 years younger?

    ...

I had Ortiz winning every round except two. If not for the bell, Wilder would have been knocked out! Can you imagine what Joshua will do to Wilder? An old 50 year old man, who is sick, on blood pressure meds, did well, if that would have been Joshua, Wilder would have been knocked out!

You don't get indefinite time to finish a guy after you've hurt him. Ortiz had 40 seconds of the 7th remaining to finish the job after Wilder started reeling, plus a dazed Wilder to work on for most of the 8th, but the man hung in there. You can only give him credit for that.

I noticed Haymon's referee gave Wilder extra time to recover, the commentators mentioned that also....................still, Wilder's chin almost let him down, Hell, I had Ortiz winning every round except two, Joshua can't wait to knock Wilder out..................wonder why Wilder refused to fight Whyte for $4,000,000, instead fight Old Man Ortiz who is sick on blood pressure meds...................you know the reason.............

Whyte? Ortiz stops Whyte and Wilder knocks him cold.

Assuming Joshua does what he's supposed to with Parker, Joshua-Wilder happens in the second half of this year.

I don't think so. Seems like he got extra recuperation time from the ref, wasn't deducted a point for the wrestling foul nor was Ortiz given time t recoup from the wrestling foul which stunned him and was allowed to rabbit punch.

Then explain why Wilder refused to fight Whyte for $4,000,000? Haymon would not control the judges, referee and boxing commission that's why....................Joshua is licking his chops! If not for the bell, Ortiz would have knocked Wilder out, plus Haymon's referee gave Wilder extra time to recover.....................the commentators mentioned that.............
