True, but with his height, power, and name recognition, who could they have thrown him in with at 140 that would have made any sense? If he can't make 135, he's done anyhow for all intents and purposes. Did Castillo and Chico look like forces at 147?
Suck **** i say ive said all along that Guzman believed his own HYpe. He thinks the Boxing Game is a Joke and owes him something instead of using his talent and wanting to make it big he thinks it should just come to him. Then he signs his career defining fight. Comes in 3.5 pounds overweight. **** GUZMAN
You never know if he's done till he performs there in my opinion, I know the size difference will be a major disadvantage but still he needs to fight there for everyone to be sure. If he couldn't make 135 for a huge fight he always wanted like this one then he won't make it after the fight, win or lose. The option to go to 140 will be there and I'm sure he will take it, what else can he do?
You don't know what happened. None of us do. Insulting him and calling him "lazy" is ridiculous. Guzman has never been a lazy fighter, he's trained in numerous places over the years extremely hard and that is one of the main reasons he's improved his craft so much. He's always stayed in gyms during his layoffs and he's known for how hard he works out. He worked to get down to 130 last time against Soto and he put in a great performance in the that fight, which was the biggest in his career. This fight will be the biggest fight of his career again and it's disappointing that he didn't make weight, but we don't know the reason for it. Don't accuse him of being lazy if you have no information about it. You just don't like him for whatever reason and you want to use this moment to rag on him. I can spin **** too and say that Arthur's performance last week wasn't exactly a very motivated one to say the least. I could call him lazy for not trying 100% for his first defense of a title he was very lucky to get in the first place.
You have some ridiculous hate for him.. I'll just leave this thread because I don't want to argue about stupid ****. Show some respect for a guy who could have taken a much easier fight, but decided to go straight to 135 against arguably the best H2H fighter there, who brings the least amount of money compared to the other top fighters. If you saw Guzman partying and not training, then you would have a good reason to be pissed off. But you don't know what happened, so shut the **** up. Later. Guzman UD Campbell still, but it's 50/50 now IMO. Guzman KO Arthur effortlessly any time, any where, but that's obvious. A guy who was dominated by Nicky Cook.
So your Not Pissed off about this. His Career defining Title Chance at big dollars and the fight that would change his career. And he comes in overweight. No i dont know him or his training methods. But i know one thing about boxing if you come in over weight for a fight like this it makes me think of one thing. Lazy.
Also what im trying to say Huki if GUzman wanted to make me a believer he needed to show it in this fight. Now all im thinking is if he comes in over weight and fights and Loses for No Titles it will end his career. I wanted him to be ready and show me i was wrong. But yet again he dissapionted me. Can you understand were im coming from.
so what happens if the champ comes in over weight and the challenger makes weight and beats the champ.
Of course I'm pissed off about it. Maybe you haven't seen my other posts? You don't know what the **** happened, so shut up. Guzman has no history of being lazy, in fact it's the opposite. He has a reputation for being someone who is always in the gym and loves working out. He'll show you in the ring. Watch the fight tomorrow and then talk. Maybe more information will be revealed as to why he didn't make the weight later on. Who knows.. but calling him lazy is ******ed, that's all. That's really the end of the arguing for now. :hi: (Guzman UD Campbell. Guzman KTFO Arthur, who puts up uninspired performances on PPV cards and gets dominated by a C level fighter)
The champion loses his title at the weigh-in and the title becomes "vacant" for the fight. It will only be on the line for the challenger who made weight.
He's 32, he's going into a big title fight against a known ranked opponent and this **** happens? Classic.
