Corrales kept his WBC title after losing to an overweight Castillo.

Showtime is going to take a donkey **** on Guzman if he ****ed up the whole card. His career will be in the toilet.

The only reasons I can think of for Guzman coming in overweight is the new strength coach his team hired or the fact that he stopped training for a little while a few months back when his mother was sick with cancer. Still, it makes zero sense. How can he come in 3.5 pounds overweight for a fight he was waiting many years to finally get? Something strange must have happened IMO, there is almost no chance that this is because he wasn't training seriously or anything like that.

Hopefully it still goes ahead and Nate knocks this badly disciplined fool out.

Am i right in thinking that Campbell doesn't have to fight Guzman if he doesn't want to

The latter scenario would only take place if the champ failed to make weight. In this case, the challenger failed to make weight. As a result, Campbell keeps his staps whether he wins or loses.

That was my impression. It's up to Campbell if he is still willing to fight. I don't know the details however.

He doesnt have to, but he wont get paid, plus the titles arent on the line so he keeps them no matter what. Its a no lose situation for Nate and a no win situation for Guzman.
