Yeah, Nate will definitely be taking the fight, he's not the type of guy that would care about Guzman being overweight.
Nate is just ready to fight right now. He's in that type of mood where he doesn't want to do anything else other than get into the ring and put a beating on somebody. Guzman, who's a naturally smaller man than him anyways, coming in overweight is meaningless for him right now. If anything, it just makes him more motivated to win. I'm really worried about Guzman now. It will be a huge, huge setback if he loses this fight. I hope he can be in good health for tomorrow.
He might get paid some money, but no what he was supposed to. I remember when Mayorga had to fight El Gallo Rivera at 147 and Rivera didn't take the fight, so Mayorga end up fighting Eric Mitchell at 153 :rofl, but Rivera got pay around 25,000/30,000 as per the contract.
Guzman if he doesn't win he's finished, with his layoffs and age and undersize he's done if he doesn't win,not sure what he can do if he wins but it's a start:-(
Huki i know you and me have had our disputes about Guzman. All im going to say now is i told you so. Lazy Lazy Lazy Fighter. Believes the hype and never once worked hard enough. The biggest fight of his career at 32 and comes in over weight. WTF.
If the fight goes on then is a must... he has to win. 3 1/2 lbs is not a big deal and if he wins then people would consider him a threat at 135 regardless of the weight... but if he loses... then is over for him, because people will say that he lost eventhough he was the heavier fighter.
That's my point, if he can't handle 135 why even sign for this fight?, his team should know his physique better than everyone to allow a failing attempt like that.
