Cue this thread becoming a Guzman gimpathon!!! "Guzmans so great, hes never going to lose to some bloody scotsman" "Oh Guzman, hes little Tyson, dont you know" "Guzman, hes like Floyd Mayweather, only more handsome" & so on, & so forth. British ESB should be renamed The Joan Guzman appreciation society. Why? just listen to yourselves!:deal
The problem is that Arthur needs this fight badly. Warren has to tread carefully here or it could see Alex tread water for another year.
Arthur doesnt need the fight POW, he deserves the fight. Lets not forget here that king Guzman was actually the guy that ****ed everything up in the first place by not arriving in London when he was supposed to. Just cos Guzman is talking the big talk as usual, doesnt mean hes telling the truth. Remember, Joan Guzman is all mouth & trousers. I have been telling people this for as long as I have been posting here.
Maybe so Dunky but Arthur still needs this fight. It's what he's been building up to his whole career. That defining moment when you win or bust. When do they have to fight by before Guzman gets stripped?
Keep dreamin Dunky. I question how many of Guzmans fights you've actually seen because most people's opinion is that Guzman has the tools to be up their with Pacquiao and Marquez. In fact those are the guys he should be fighting. Not wasting his time crushing the Alex Arthur's of the world We all know that Warren is doign alll he can to get Arthur that WBO title without having fought anyone worth a toss for it. This is a guy who got uttelry destoryed by Michael Gomez and nearly got KTFO by Stevie Foster in his last fight, ffs. Guzman could win this fight however he wants. He coud choose to box Arthurs head off or just completely put his light's out within the first couple or rounds of the fight.
thats some crazy **** you are posting there Tuffnutz. Firstly, I could level the same argument at you. If you think Guzman just has to turn up to win, you been smoking on that big Guzman crack pipe everyone has been taking a hit on in here these last few months. GUZMAN IS A SMALL MAN WITH NO PUNCH. There. I said it. As for bringing up the old Gomez fight, I dont believe that its a proper argument, I just believe englanders bring it up cos they enjoyed watching an irishman beat a scotsman. It was a learning fight for Arthur, & hes been unbeaten since. Arthur has admitted himself that being beaten by the irishman was the making of him. As for the Foster fight? flash knockdown. It happens. Just ask Joe Calzaghe when he got decked off the egyptian. Didnt stop him beating Kessler though, did it? Lets give Arthur some credit for a change.
He deserves all the credit in the world for making the most of his ability. But that can only take you so far. Guzman is probably a step too far, but stranger things have happened.
Give credit for what? Becoming an enormous **** talker and having trouble with Steven Foster Jr? lol Mate the reason we loved the Gomez fight so much is because Arthur was full of himslef before it and we knew that Gomez had the nasty in him to beat Arthur. I was one of the people who picked Gomez to shut him up. He was nearly KTFo against Foster and that all there is to it mate, No excuses. Ive been watching Guzman for years mate and the man is up their with Pacquaio, Marquez and Barrera, no doubt about it. Plus Foster nearly had Arthur and Gomez destroyed him. You say that Guzman does'nt hit hard but compared to those guys he hits like a truck. Gary Lockett has more of a chance beating The Ghost than Arthur does at beating Guzman. Guzman is rock hard and far, far too much for Arthur. If he wanted to he'd toy with Arthur like a Prime Roy Jones toying with a Bin Man.
was it as cut and dried as that? maybe the one time but i think confusion rained for the other.i mean what is this **** about the visa?are we now saying that arthur didn't fancy it?
