I knew it was Guzman that cried off, he had a past record of it. He didn't fancy making the weight from day 1. The visa thing was a complete piece of ****.
Real shame. I wonder who Arthur's opponent will be now? Regardless of most people's opinion on the likely outcome, I think Arthur really did want to test himself and face Guzman. I hope he can make weight, win the title, then move on to 135 himself.
Chesh I don't doubt that Arthur is a game fighter and would like to have tested himself against Guzman (who I believe is underrated by many). But in the long run I think he will benefit not taking a seriously bad beating, after what Gomez did to him I dare not even imagine what Guzman would do!!
JMM is rated #1 for the WBO so will it be JMM/Arthur for the belt if JMM deceides to stay at 130 or if JMM deceides to jump to 135 it will be Arthur/Roman for the belt?
this could work in Arthur's favour. The wisdom of the crown suggested he was a really big outsider against Guzman. Though if he now needs to fight JMM to get the title then it works out worse.
I think Marquez is set on the WBC belt again or a move straight up to 135 if Nate Campbell will accommodate him. One way or another, Arthur will be WBO champ!
I was really looking forward to the match of the most under-rated fighter in the UK and the most over rated fighter in the world.... Shame. Least Guzman will still be able to pull mean faces at lightweight while he dances round the ring like a shite version of Hector Camacho. Sweet.
Dunky whats your feelings on this? I honestly feel that Warren has done his best to stop this fight. Its completley stinks.
This could have been arthurs career defining fight, this will hurt his legacy unless he gets a shot at another opponent in the same class as guzman.
