Roger does not train Guzman, Floyd Sr. does.

Well then Floyd Sr looks like a dumbass then. Same situation, the guy has trained world champions, and his guy comes in overweight.

I'm suprised nobody brought up this possibility yet it seems possible, but I still believe nate is gonna beat his ass.

I think at the end it wont matter if the titles are on the line or not. It is about winning and both fighters want to win.

The winner will be the real champ, and the loser, with or without the titles, will become just the loser.

Do you guys think that David Diaz was really recogonized as the real Champ? Of course not. Different situations but at the end people will accept as the real champ the winner not the loser.

It's his nutritionist who needs to be criticised here, his trainer does his job of training him and preparing him for whatever his next opponent's style is, it's not 100% his job what his trainer's weight is, all deserve to be blamed including Guzman.

Wow. I totally ****ing unexpected this. But it makes me EVEN happier! This means Nate's chances goes up even more to the point that I seriously think he'll beat Guzman.

I change my pick. Nate UD or even a KO!!

    GO NATE!!!!!

I don't see how Nates chances go up. If anything Guzman is probably overly jacked and wound up over the limit. This combined with his usual post- weight in bloating means he could be coming in at near light middle status on fight night.

Maybe people think that Guzman will be embarrased because he didn't make the weight and therefore he won't be mentaly prepared for the fight. ;) Hence, more chances for Nate.

That's possible...but at the end of the day, I don't think it's anymore likely than Nate having the advantage because Joan was too big.

Either way this has put a severe damper on the fight.

yes it will matter. if guzman wins, it will be viewed as an unfair victory since he did not try to make weight at 135 and came in much heavier than nate.

i am really disappointed for guzman. too bad that mayweather sr. just really works his mouth first than getting guzman into the proper shape.

I personally think that the overweight situation won't have anything to do with the result of the fight (if the fight still goes). Nate is a legit 135 and for Gusman is 1st time at 135........

Trust me, if the fight happens, we will se a good fight..... and the winner will be considered the champ, with the titles or without them.

that is very disrespectful on joans part
the guy has moved up like 3 divisions in just a couple years, this being his first fight at lightweight and comes in heavy, ridiculous
all the talk of being ducked 3 belts and a very good claim to the no1 lightweight spot and he shits on the opportunity
as much as i wanna see this fight if i was campbell i woulda walked
and if guzman wins it doesn't make him the champ at lightweight it means he bulked up for the fight

Either way it's pretty meaningless now. Nate wins, Guzman can say "I was drained from trying to make weight."

Guzman wins, Nate says "Dude showed up over the limit."

Might as well wait for the rematch.

Campbell will get a lot of credit if he beats Guzman, any excuse from Guzman's corner won't even be considered.
