I'm sure Guzman will be/would be gracious and upfront in defeat..but his team and his fans would say otherwise.

It will matter for a couple of days only. 3 1/2 lbs is not a big deal, of course we need to see what the real weight at fight nite is going to be.

Keep in mind this..... If Nate wins, then everything is fine, but if Guzman wins then whoever fights Nate and beat him, would be like beating Guzman's leftovers.

The weight at the weight in is one thing.... the weight at fight night is another one.

No. There is no excuses. According to what we know, he did not even try to lose the extra weight.

    doesnt surprise me at all.

Guzman is known for damn near killing himself to make weight and then come into the ring 15 pounds heavier.

obviously he doesnt belong at 135.

How so? Guzman came overweight because he didnt exhaust himself..He is big and fresh....If theres a fight where no excuses can be made..its this..

Not only cant he lose..he cant look lackadaisical..he cant be running in the ring with his back turned. He cant be thrwoing 20 punches per round in spurts:lol: ..or he'll get booed out of the ring

at the end of the day consider it a blessing..if any of the above happens... we wont be seing this fraud no more.

Yes hes a fraud..first real big fight..hes scared **** of being exposed..he comes in heavy.

Props to Nate for still fighting this clown

It is more difficult to cheat when you are older. If you are younger then.......

I read Campbell needed two tried to make weight but haven't read that myself on a reputable site. Guzman didn't even try and comeback and make weight so Guzman won't be drained and he will be probably be huge where as Nate had to go through camp and get down to weight.

If Guz had come back a second time and missed the weight but attempted to make it it would be different. The fact that he didn't even try is bad if you want Nate to win. He only had to go down to 138 and rather than torturing himself to lose the extra weight he was in there probably already going up in weight while Nate had to push to make it.

Dumb and dangerous. They must have paid off Nate something big for him to OK this.

    what is he? 32?

Campbell can make weight and he's 36. like i said, Guzman doesnt belong at 135.

obviously there's many fighters out there who do the same but Guzman is by far one of the worst.

Guzman hasn't been a big hitter since he was KOing bums and a grizzled Agapito Sanchez at 122. Nate is a solid lightweight whose chin holds up fine when Robbie Peden isn't involved. This isn't the same scenario as Corrales making 135 via death march fighting basically a full welterweight in Castillo.

Guzman is going to be that much slower on his feet, which will turn this into a Campbell fight. No chance to win the titles and a beating for his trouble. Guz ****ed up bad.

He is over 30 and when you turn 30 your system start slowing down and I think that's the reason it is more difficult to keep doing it. Not everybody has the same metabolism, but most people have problems when they turn 30.

Missing weight for such an important championship fight is highly unprofessional especially when he's already moving up 5lbs. At 3.5lbs over he is closer to Light Welter than Lightweight and it looks like he didn't even bother trying to get down further. This Guzrunner dude has a history of blowing up on fight night sometimes as much as 18lbs like when he fought Soto. I hope Campbell knocks him out viciously for disrespecting the sport and cheating to gain an advantage.
