Guzman-Funeka on Mayweather-Marquez undercard

Good fight but a joke.

Yuri Romanov was meant to fight for this vacant title, its about time that lad got a break or even a fight. He is highly skilled and great to watch. He deserves his shot at a world title.

 

Good fight. He gave Campbell a tough fight. I actually thought he beat Nate. This is a big step up for Guzman. I wonder if he will be rusty as he was in the Diaz fight. We'll find out sooner or later.

 

I will be happy if Funeka gets to fight for another title. I personally thought he could have got the decision over Campbell. He gave an excellent account of himself in his first big fight. He's a tough match-up for anyone with his abnormal height and reach ( for a light-weight). I think I'd lean towards Funeka in this one.

Funeka definitely deserves another shot at the title and, despite all his failings, I still like Guzman. What should have been a great career has instead been one disappointment after another. Maybe he can finally put a good run together - this would be a good start.

 

I am disappointed but better than nothing.

I was really hoping Guzman would take one the likes of Valero or Linares.

I understand that Juan Diaz don't want to fight Guzman at this point.

Now that's some thing! GBP is finally taking cue by stacking up some interesting undercard matchups.

But i'd still lean on the Valero-Soto scrap over this one.

 

I cant wait for this fight..real good talent on this CARD. the only people that wish that this fight be cancelled are mannys ****** fans on PHILLBOXING..THEY come up with some **** that only a twoyear old will say.them FLIPS should stay off the CHABU.......atsch

 

This is a very interesting fight. Guzman is ultra talented, quick as hell, slippery, and skilled, but Funeka is a 6-1 lightweight who has a high punch output, throws straight punches, and could very easily have gotten the decision vs. Campbell. I can't wait and I don't know who to pick.

 

Soto v Linares would be even better. Valero is one of the most overrated active boxers.
