Guzman knew at 135 he didn't have the power to hurt Funeka, nor could he take Funeka's punches very well.

This time around, I predicted that Guzman's added weight still wouldn't give him the power and strength necessary and obviously I was wrong.

Guzman was a true welter who should have been out there fighting guys like Mayweather, Cotto, and Pac.

But instead, for a guy as highly skilled as he is, he was so scared of Funeka, that he didn't even attempt to make weight.

You could tell the guy was at his optimal weight, fresh as he could be, and that not only did he have the power this time to gain Funeka's respect, which made Funeka tenative as well, but he could easily absorb Funeka's punches.

If the guy wants to be a welterweight, he needs to fight welterweights.

    Guzman vs JMM at 142?

    Great fight I think.

He's not a coward. He's just ****ing lazy and allows himself to blow up big in between fights because he can't be bothered with putting in the work to train and keep himself in shape.

Yea he definetly needs to move up. When this happened the first time when he was supposed to fight Cambell, he said he was spitting up blood and his body would not cooperate when he had to lose the weight. That right there was a sign to move up.

Btw on a side note, anyone catch his bangin wife on HBO? Damn...
