Sources close to the situation have informed us that an offer was made to Don King Productions to have Joan Guzman fight Nate Campbell for free. The terms of the offer allow King to keep Guzman's entire purse and give it to Campbell. Guzman and Campbell were origin for dehydration. On the night of the fight, he was diagnosed as unfit to fight and pulled out of his scheduled bout with Campbell. ally slated to headline a Showtime Championship Boxing card on September 13th in Biloxi, Mississippi, but Guzman came in 3.5 pounds over the lightweight limit before later being taken to the hospital and treated for dehydration. On the night of the fight, he was diagnosed as unfit to fight and pulled out of his scheduled bout with Campbell.

Also if Guzman came in overweight again he would have to pay $1million
    Sounds good to me! :bbb

I think Nate should look elsewhere.

Guzman simply cannot be trusted, the sooner boxing sees the back of him, the better, in my opinion.

Very good fighter, but does he not realise that trainers, cutmen all need to earn a living, whilst spectators pay a shitload of money for TV subscriptions or tickets & accomodation.

I think Nate should look elsewhere too, but Nate is such a nice guy, he might decide to give Guzman another go!

Yeah perhaps - if the fight is signed I will be cheering Nate all the way.

But I stand by my original statement.

If this fight doesn't happen, Nate should try to avenge his two embarrassing losses to his father Robbie Peden. Those sonning's were worse than Mayorga - Forrest if you ask me.

the catch here is the suspension and the case to be filed for guzman would be lifted. it's a good way for guzman to get out of this mess if campbell's camp oblige.
