Guzman should be top5 P4P. His talent is phenomenal and he is proving it by beating the best fighters in his 3rd division. Now the 2 champions at 130 want nothing to do with Guzman. Simply put Marquez and Paquiao would lose and their management won't let them anywhere Guzman. The best fighters at 122, 126 and 130 have avoided this man and now we see why.

In a P4P argument he is better than Pacman, J Marquez, Cotto, R Marquez, J Diaz, Hatton, BHOPs and Winky. YES I SAID IT. His ability is better than all these fighters. His speed, movement, timing, defense, chin, decent power and combinations make him better than the forementioned.

I hear the crys that his opposition. Prime Soto and Barrios are perhaps better than anyone either Marquez brother or Juan Diaz has beaten P4P (yes Barrera was a good win for Marquez but Barrera was past it). I'd also say Guzman beating Soto and Barrios is better than Pacquiao beating Morales and Barrera who were both past it and coming off losing streaks.

Its sad Guzman is so avoided because he is a great fighter. He is in the same position of being Mr Avoided the likes of Harry Wills, Winky

Guzman has just beaten the 2 best contenders at 135. Pacquiao is running scared thanks to the protection of Uncle Bob, Arrum has made an excuse to get out of this fight already after watching Guzman school the 2 best pressure fighters at 130.

When you look at overall ability and talent, Guzman has a good case to be top 5 pound for pound. He's up there with guys like Mayweather, Calzaghe, Calderon, and Dawson in terms of talent.

When looking at accomplishments, he's definitely not top 10.

Guzman shouldn't be Top 3.....but I always find it amusing that posters call someone overrated when they lose.

He'd get credited for beating a slow and overrated fighter in Pac. But beating Pac would look good on anybody's resume.

LOL@decent Power...you've got to be kidding me.

Right....and that makes him overrated? All you just proved was that you knew Guzman was a good fighter. That doesn't make Soto an overrated one.

Guzman is a poor mans mayweather. The difference between him and floyd as seen in the soto fight. After he triples his left hook or whatever he gets tagged with a hard shot and hurt might I add at the end of an exchange. He has good recovery and balls. His movement is not that good but his defense with his arms and elbows are great as he learned under the Mayweather Sr. Fast hands, good accuracy and timing. But he gets complacent and admires his work too much. Pacman beats him.

Now you're just reaching. Guzman beat Barrios ,a champion at 130, at HIS fight. And Barrios has since fought at 130 AGAIN, so I'm not buying any weight drain excuses.

Either way, the only thing REAL I see is that he beat Soto pretty easily last night. And that makes him one of the top fighters at 130. Is he the best? Can't tell, I would guess no. But lots of guesses are wrong.

I think Soto is still in the hospital clinging to his life

Guzman reminds me of Godzilla..and I think he stops PAC in round 1

    Did you see his power...???

Chill Chimba. Your sarcasm would be funnier if you weren't a Pacfan, fans who are more guilty of overhyping a fighter than most here at ESB.

Sure you are. The display was that of a good fighter fighting a great fighter and losing cleanly. It was a good not dominant performance.
