Timing was one of the reasons why JCC was such a good fighter, I wasn't relating it to this fight, or having a go at you in particular.

MAB nearly outboxed JMM a few months before and JMM is considered one of the best counterpunchers of this decade. MAB is a great counterpuncher when he wants to be, just watch him against Naseem and more recently, Juarez.

 

OK, in that case I agree. I think the best fighter ive ever seen with great use of timing is Kostya tsyzu. That guy could ready his right hand, the opponent know its coming but because he times it so well, it'll land. No flash speed, just accuracy and timing.

Thats my point exactly. It wasnt JMM guzman just beat it was Soto. Both Pacman and JMM are on the next level even another level above Barrios which gave Guzman headaches all night.

I agree that MAB is an excellent counter puncher... BUt what about Marquez, Mayweather, Dawson, Calderon, Hopkins ect. Certainly not the best in the world.

I would say "one" of the best counterpunchers around and perhaps because of his slugging ways, is underrated in that department. I prefer MAB's counterpunching because his one has the intention of knocking out his opponent whereas PBF has the intention of scoring a point. Both are very good but IMO PBF has better defense/reflexes/speed to help his counterpunching ways.
