Excuse me but Barrios looked slow in that fight ... he was getting beat to the punch and the punches he landed were looping punches ...

a looping right doesn't have the same effect as a straight left to the chin and no matter what you say about Valero - when it comes to throwing that power punch - he throws that **** straight.

He will be able to tighten up and fight a more discipline fight when he steps up in competition.

How is a journeyman a champion, undefeated, and possess a 100% KO ratio?

No matter who he fights - thats very tough ... especially at the lighterweights where power isn't much of an emphasis.

He's in great shape and isn't affraid to trade ... the thing I noticed about Guzman is that he's unable to fight going backwards.

He would brawl his way out of trouble --

As far as testing chins goes, a looping punch thrown by a power puncher like Barrios is a very good test, and Guzman passed.

also, Valero is a title holder but he is no champion, though he's no journeyman either (i've never called him one, maybe you were replying to someone else even though you quoted me)

and ko ratios do not impress me. impressive wins over good opposition do.

Sup Fitz man, sorry big homie I finally seened footage of Valero and I have to agree with the majority in here, Valero fights similar to Mayorga the way he winds up his punches that would be easy work for Joan Guzman.

    Guzman by late TKO.

Guzman is too skilled for Valero at this point.. Fast hands and quick feetwork.. Guzzy would school Valero right now.. I'm sorry Fitz, but you seem to be way overrating this dude.. I don't see this fight happening either with Guzzy moving up to lightweight and I believe once Valero starts fighting real competition, he'll start losing and he'll fall..

He didn't duck Arthur.. He didn't feel like waiting for the fight to happen so he vacated it to move up to fight bigger fish..
