Not really a fan of this guy, but I am glad he is with GBP now and will be given more chances to get bigger fights.

I hope to see him with Pacquaio, but it is a ****in' long shot. A holy miracle if ever.

How about a fight with Campbell?:yep

    Or Bradley?

Right now he just needs to fight. He did not look good against Diaz. I just expect the worst now when he comes back. He will be older and more rusty.

I could be wrong, but he may have been with GBP before.

And they attempted to screw him over (see the dominant SD win over Barrios).

Does anyone know if Guzman was getting hit repeatedly by Diaz? I have often heard that he didn't look good but I've never really gotten an explanation as to how?

Guzman better shape up at this point, or he'll end up retired with a so-so career.

Diaz caught him a couple of times in the fight on the chin. I have never seen Guzman so stunned by a punch in my entire life.

That's right. Long shot. As impossible as hitting a jumpshot from one end of the yard to the other. And if they did fight... Pac would wax Guzman:verysad Guzman would also lose to Campbell & Bradley.

    Interesting.

    Is he slipping by now?

Really wants him to see fight any decent names now.

I think at that time he was still being promoted by Sycuan(?) and GBP just co-promoted that fight.

What do you think of his career now, CHJ? I know you're big on him, (though not on the level you have with Calzaghe) and you were the one I remember when I saw the article.:yep:D

I love Guzman's style. Who cares if he couldn't make 135, he would have beat Campell anyway. Let him go up to 140 and go at it with Bradley, Maidana, Khan, Urango, and the rest of the wonderfully talented division.

I think he woulc beat both, IF he is still the same Guzman we are talking about and not the one who got stunned by a vendor named Amreth Diaz.

    Right.

As much as I hate this guy, he can still mix up well with the top dogs if 135 and 140, and that is what I want to see.

The article doesn't mention Paulus Moses, undefeated at 25-0 (albeit with a padded record). Moses has the handspeed and precision to catch Guzman.
