Gvodzyk "I don't see how Benavidez could make 168lbs", "he's the same size as me and I'm not a small light heavyweight"...

Don't think I need to point out that Benavidez is a massive weight bully.

But he also states "Beterbiev is a cruiserweight that is able to drain to 175lbs".

Beterbiev is a huge light heavy and fought at heavyweight in the amateurs. Cruiserweight Beterbiev vs a small light heavyweight in Bivol would not be a fair match up.

You have some boxers that naturally hit hard and some boxers that "hit hard" because they are naturally bigger than their opponents.

Gvozdyk is the same size as Beterbiev lol. Beterbiev is slightly stockier but he's tripping. Agree on Benavidez

I think Beterbiev is a lot stockier.

Beterbiev is a normal size Lightheavy. He has dense bones, but his size is nothing out of the ordinary.

He's also way too small for the Cruiserweight division.

Weight classes were built to weight bully people. Almost every single champion since day of weigh ins ended rehydrates 15-20 lbs above the limit. The only exceptions were a handful of guys who moved up five or more classes like Pacquiao and Chocolatito. Rigondeaux too. All three of those boys could theoretically have dropped two or three weight classes and mother****ed everybody. Since then, maybe Lomachenko doesn't rehydrate much. Canelo probably can't when he fights at light heavyweight. Anybody know what Inoue weighs on the night of the fight?

Remember that B-Hop started out at light heavyweight then moved down two weight classes, while Roy Jones Jr and James Toney started down around middleweight and fought their way up to heavy for a challenge. Even when he couldn't make the cut anymore and moved back to his original weight class, Hopkins still usually had height and reach advantages over his opponents. He was both taller and had longer reach than either Jones or Toney.

Yeah, Beteroid is 178-180cm, stocky but I'd say almost undersize at 175 for modern fighters. Callum Smith was huge compared. So was Joe Smith. So was Nail.

I'm a huge Gvozdyk fan but I thought he was the biggest LHW in the division when he fought Beterbiev. Same with Usyk. he was a big cruiser.

    Oleksandr Gvozdyk:
    height 6′ 2″ / 188cm
    reach 75½″ / 192cm

    Artur Beterbiev:
    height 5′ 11½″ / 182cm
    reach 73″ / 185cm

In a mutual fight Artur Beterbiev 174½, Oleksandr Gvozdyk 174¼.
What is Gvozdyk talking about; talk about a ¼ pound difference in weight?

Bro Usyk rehydrates to 207-212 in almost all of his CW fights. Usyk is exactly a CW sized guy.
And size is not just how tall you are. But thick, shoulder width, how much mass your frame can carry without you being bulky, etc. Beterbiev may not be the tallest, but he is build like a tank. But i don't remember him ever have problems with making weight, and he is 40 now, so if he was such a bully, he would have struggled. So crap take from Gvozdyk.
