Gvozdyk fairly easily. Barrera doesn't have a great chin, and doesn't fight well inside - the two things you need to beat Gvozdyk IMHO.
Gvozd looks the goods. Barrera has looked vulnerable in a couple of fights, so I think Gvozd nails him pretty easily.
I favored Barrera over Smith and I like how he's bounced back from the Ward loss. He's grown as a fighter. Unfortunately for him, I think the Nail is a special talent. There's been bigger upsets, but I don't see Sullivan winning this one.
barrera in a close fight... all this hype for gzozdyk is undeserved.. at times he has looked as flawed as barrera.
Gvozdyk was pushing his punches in his last fight and he was flashing his ripped physique for a photo shoot shortly before it. Maybe I'm just imagining it because he was flexing but he looked like he'd added a bit more muscle. I probably am but I hope he hasn't overdone the strength training, because he had the perfect balance before and his punches were fast, crisp, powerful and snappy. This content is protected
Gvozdyk did a number on Chilemba who's far trickier and more elusive than Barrera, The Nail will take a round or two to figure him out and put him down for the count in 6.
In his previous fight against Gonzalez most of his shots were snappy and hard whereas he threw very few like that against Baker. I know he was just out boxing Baker but there was no reason for him to throw hard snappy ones so sparingly. This content is protected
Featherfist Ward put Barrera on his behind. Gvozdyk will shake Barrera's future grandchildren with a straight right.
I feel like I'm the only person on this forum who isn't sold on Gvozdyk, he's a talented fighter but I don't see him as the heir apparent to the division, plus to me I get the vibe that he is a tad fragile. To me, Bivol is a far better fighter and will go further. I see Gvozdyk vs Barrera as 50/50.
Barrera is too fragile to beat Gvozdyk imo. I can't see any other result other than a Gvozdyk stoppage.
