Botvinniks is a tough opponent for your first serious fight after a 3.5 year layoff and after only having fought a six rounder in all that time against a 20-34-2 tomato can. Would've liked to have seen him ease back in against a lesser foe than this as Botvinniks is a potential banana skin
I think he hits harder than his record suggests but I'm more concerned if it goes late. He gave Buatsi a really tough fight and I thought his fight against Craig Richards was a 50-50 affair, prior to it being cancelled of course. Gvozdyk hasn't fought anyone with a pulse in 3.5 years.
Bolotniks seems a bit ambitious at this stage of his comeback. But it will be a good fight and if he going to get back into serious contention before he is to old he has to take a risk or two.
Bolotniks went on a really good run after moving down to 175. He has plenty of upsets on his resume. He is a top 20-ish guy and not to be taken lightly.
Bolotniks is a very good fighter, decent power, workman like and stays strong all fight long. I won $9000 on him in that tournament final against Serge Michel.
I don't bet anymore mate ☹ but back when my account was fatter I put $2000 on Rickards to stop Michel and it happened with 15 seconds left in the fight.....phew!
Both are Aries, so it might be brutal. Although stylistically Ricards is made to order for him. So I think The Nail will brutally KO him way earlier than Buatsi did. Gvozdyk's one twos will do a Yunieski Gonzalez type number on him. Blocking his punches with your face, is a terrible idea.
