Gvozdyk would smash both Ward and Kovalev in the same night

We are seeing the best LHW tonight on ESPN. I can't wait, he would KO both Ward and Kovalev.

I like his potential better than Kov.

Easy for me to say now but I always thought Kov was a bit over rated on this forum.

Ward is a tricky nut to beat, there should be no doubt, yes including his rough house tactics which has always been part of this sport.

That said, I could see Gvozdyk giving Ward a good run for his money if he fought smart and brought a good game plan.

Who knows what Ward will do next, I could see him not wanting to face a guy like Gvozdyk as its too risky for the return at this point in his career, Gvozdyk doesn't even have a title yet.

I think Ward wants massive pay days for his next fights, I doubt he wants to invest in fighting all the top guys at 175, it would be great mind you, I would love to see Ward Beter and Ward Stevenson. Plus obviously Ward Gvozdyk, but I don't have a good feeling that will actually take place.

Personally, I could see him getting hurt at cruiser and obviously heavy. Ok, yes he could have success against specific opponents at those weights, aka RJJ and Ruiz,

But I could see Ward getting starched by the top dudes at those weights and NEVER being the same thereafter.

No offence to Ward, just the fact that its up for debate is a compliment to how difficult Ward is to beat.

I think Gvozdyk is operating at a level with current Ward and above the last version of Kovalev, although both in the same night is somewhat exaggerated.

"Somewhat" of an exaggeration to say a 14 fight prospect beats them both in one night? :p

In a fair fight he beats Ward, and has a competitive fight with Kovalev but gets knocked out in the 5th.

You can't seriously have watched his fight tonight and thought to yourself, "this is the best light heavy in boxing." This has to be a troll thread.

I don't think he beats either anymore lol. he didn't look that impressive tonight. and his chin might be iffy. putting him vs bivol or Stevenson or even barrera first would be interesting. I think he would lose all 3 as of right now lol.

It was a dominating performance by Gvoz, was the fight boring? Yes it was, but he got the win. Gvoz is a technical boxer, he is a point scorer, point scorers have a good track record in boxing so stop with this demeaning BS.
