    if Thurman is going to linger around boxing instead of retreating to Machu Picchu to do ayahuasca or whatever, I’d rather he do gimmick fights instead of parachuting himself into contention when guys like Ennis and Stanionis have been waiting years for their shot

    he should take another Yesterday’s Welter in Danny Garcia with him

    Yeah, I'd say at least 99% of male boxers go easy on female ones in sparring.

    That being said, I belong to the 1% who doesn't. I'm an equal opportunities guy and if you want that work with me in the gym I'm giving you the best version of me regardless of sex or gender. Iron sharpens iron.

    I think the truth is she is actually not that slick. There are levels to this game Shields has the slickness from the grand masters of Michigan. You know I am advocate of the ways of the boxing schools of the Mid- West USA.

    No she's slick, especially for a female boxer. She just completely abandoned her slickness for that fight and her last one too. The game plan was to give up her height and length and just walk in and throw punches and try and wear Claressa out without any thought behind it.

    It's much easier to look slick when your opponent is fighting like a caveman or cavewoman in this instance, Olu.
