Anywhere from $10-20 for a dungeon and $120 for a place that is nice/famous. They are usually much more expensive than (chain) fitness gyms with a lot less amenities. Considering other activities though? It is fairly cheap.
You may be able to find a gym that is free with bare necessities. The gym I go to is free, though like I said, it has the bare necessities. As long as you got the basic things for boxing and a good coach, you're set.
The place I'm checking out wants $200 sign up fee. And $100 a month after that. The place seems cool though. It's kinda small but they have a lot of bags and a full size ring on the ground, a small mma cage, a clear place with mats to grapple. He said be had gloves I could use until I felt like I wanted to order my own. I was thinking the price was high, but i felt like the place is for me.. It's hot as he'll in there though..
$70 a month, open every day but Sunday and you can come and be there as long as you want. I'm usually at my gym a total of about ~20 hours a week so for me that's great.
mines £2.50 per session, but i usually stay for a double at the same price. what you describe sounds like a muay thai gym i went to,i thought it was the **** at 1st and loved it,but then it became abit more apparant that they were more interested in getting money than training good fighters.i saw the owner turn away a guy asking for help on a technique that wouldve taken a minute to demo because he was online looking at holidays, thats ****ing weak, especially as its £50 a month.do you have to sign up for a minimum term?
One gym out here is 2.50 a session, they train 6 days a week. It's a community center, they have a few bags and a ring, nothing too special. The coaches are former pros and they do it for free. The other one is 40-60 dollars a month (discounts/time commitments make it vary), 2 sessions a week, but the trainer comes in a few other days if you're gearing up for a fight. Full facility though: pool, tennis, racquetball, track, basketball court, weights, boxing bags, ring. Another one I went to was $50-$75/mo, had an MMA cage, ring, mat room, bags, weight room, tanning beds, sauna, cardio area. 3 sessions a week, but the fighters come in every day with the trainers.
That is a ton of money and a ridiculous upfront fee. I've never seen anyone charge over $40 for registration. Check and see if they have any successful fighters. I would avoid that place like the plague unless it's a very respected trainer with some good fighters.
sounds like you're talking about an MMA gym which is a very different market than a boxing gym. what do you want to do with your training? what is your goal?
