He's disappointed that they didn't wait for Stevenson's fight to be done with (they submitted their demand the week prior) before they planned on sanctioning anything, since Stevenson was fighting #2 contender & Silver title holder Gonzalez.

He also says that, provided Ward doesn't want to fight Bute after May 26th, Stevenson-Bute would be supported by American networks (Showtime?).

On one hand you have Goossen planning whatever the hell he is planning for Ward's homecoming fight, and on the other you have Golden Boy lobbying with the WBC for Ant. Dirrell (who I thought was with Gary Shaw) to get a shot at the vacant title... based on what, reluctance to fight the #1 contender?! I don't see any other legit reason. Ward could maybe appeal to get the Emeritus status, I don't know......
