Héctor Luís García Mora born November 1, 1991 is a 5'9 southpaw Super Featherweight with a 15-0 10 KO's record. Born in and fighting out of San Juan de la Maguana, Dominican Republic. Okay, I'll admit, I didn't know **** about Hector Garcia when he was announced as the late replacement to take on Chris Colbert, after Roger Gutierrez tested positive for Covid. I just assumed he was going to be a no hoper, and was this close to reflexively picking Colbert to win by boring one sided UD. Then I noticed he was undefeated and that he was a southpaw, then I remembered what a pain in the ass another southpaw was against Colbert in Jezreel Corrales. So I decided to take a look. I watched about 3 rounds of Garcia vs. Avelar and quickly came to the following conclusion.... This content is protected The control of range was immaculate, the combination punching was exquisite, his thudding piston like jab, his torpedo like straight left, his head jarring right hook, his pulverizing power, his pinpoint accuracy, his physical and psychological pressure, his gas tank, the scary ass assassin like Scorpio glare, his mere presence is friggin intimidating. Then I found out he was with Ismael Salas, which boosted my confidence even more. I knew this was a bad man, who meant serious business and that Colbert was in for the beating of a lifetime. Well son of a *****... he certainly got one. It was actually a quite easy upset to call, if one actually took the time to do the research. Every weakness of Colbert was one he could exploit, he has a tendency to lie on the ropes and let his opponents tee off on him.. a no no against big punchers, he gasses and needs breaks when opponents pressure him, he tends to struggle against southpaws, and he's very open to right hooks, especially against accurate punchers. He also can't keep guys with decent chins who cut the ring off well off of him. So yeah, Hector was his worst nightmare. I bet he regrets not watching tape huh? Who knows what Garcia's ceiling his, but from the eye test... I think it's pretty ****ing high. Especially at Super Feather, it's not like it's a stacked division, there's a possibility he carves a path right through it. The Droid... he picked the perfect nickname. He had one of the most serious game faces I've seen. Colbert shows up in a party skirt and this guy looks like he just got out of San Quentin. He impressed me all the way through.
