All worthy inductees but this should really be called the American Hall of Fame, such is the bias towards US participants.

 

Hearns is only just making it in? WTF? I just assumed he would've made it some time ago. Maybe because he retired late? Someone explain pls.

I'm one of Hearns' biggest fan boys on here.

you have to be retired for so many years to be eligible. This is Hearns' first year I believe. He carried on very late. Even made a comeback in 06 I think

You have to have not fought for 5 years so this is the first year Hearns is eligible.

 

Lilo- Whitaker was at his prime as a lightweight. Hearns was a monster welterweight who went on to knockout light heavys. Tommy also never got outboxed even by master boxers. It hurts me to say it, but it's bordering on a mismatch. Best Pete could hope for his losing respectfully like Benitez.

 

Wasn't Hearns considering a comeback a year or so ago?
