Well, Rungvisai I've got covered; pretty certain his fight with Wonjongkam will be 'the end'. You know, wrap it up with 'and maybe I'll wrote about Rungvisai someday' (but not that ****)

Poonsawat isn't getting much of a look-in I'm afraid, although I will need your help on him. I suppose I can give you some info':

The book is divided into 'eras'. The guys who get a chapter of their own, that's the hard part. Once they're done with, the best of the rest get a summary before I move onto the next.

So I imagine Poonsawat will get a page toward the end. And yes, I'll appreciate your help on that, only know his main fights.


At the moment I'm piecing together Chamroen Songikrats narrative, which is fun because it was during a great time for Australian lower weight fighters, some that I've already had interest in/knowledge of.

Just hard when I can't fill in certain gaps :twisted: Stops me dotting the i's and crossing the t's.

Take what I say with a grain of sperm Flea, I don't actually expect to be needed for the experiment, I'm looking forward to what you piece together, not whether I get mentioned in the acknowledgements.

I've got some good narrative on Poon's boyish looks and mangled ears though, and I'm sure you've got something on his MMA days(if that's needed in any way).

 

As I say, only have a bit on him, seen about five of his fights, had already considered consulting you on the more modern stuff. I've got a crack team of readers and scholars assembled already, and it helps. Sometimes I think in such minute detail I forget the obvious things :good

I like Pone, not obviously skilled in the neon aspects but had some subtlety to him, mainly his right hand.

When do you expect this project to be concluded? Any publishers lined up?

 

There's a fiction one which features a boxer, but that might up being a comic. The non-fiction stuff is about how the sport has changed in the last few years and how the business side has become more of a talking point that the fights.

I don't like talking about the business of boxing, but the personalities are fascinating.

And Pones right uppercut is one of my favourite punches. Could sneak it in with ease.

DFT, sounds good. I worked ona comic before, never gottoubd to doing much serious work on it (wasn't boxing related though)

It's a time consuming, painful and solitary process though writing. Not so difficult for me as I'm an unsociable hermit.

EDIT: Yes, Adam Pollack said he'll help me out once I'm finished. Which is nice.
