When people are debating on here about who should and shouldnt be in the boxing hall of fame i wonder what factors they take into consideration and what factors they dismiss. I dont really know much about it and am not that sure who is in it but i was under the impression its open much more than just how belts you won or how much you dominated an era.
add other out of the ring attributes as fan base, influence at boxing popularity as well, a something exceptional in the ring in positive sense.
if you get titles in three weight class. Your pretty much going in the HOF. Who you beat what you did for the sport determine if your first ballot or not.
Resume is my primary factor. I would surmise it accounts 60%. Ability 30% and intangibles 10% (popularity, impact outside of the ring, influence, etc).
Judah has **** boxing ability. Hes fantastically atheletic but too much flash and no substance often. There may be many reasons why someone has a 'good resume'. Its easy to see great boxing ability on film if you know what to look for. But you definately need both ability and resume to be considered truly great.
