you could/should have chosen someone closer in class to compare.
2005 Sam Peter was still being hyped as the new Mike Tyson at the time and went life and death with the reinvented Wladschko. Huge difference in class between them.

2005 Sam Peter much much better than Stiverne. Was competitive with Wlad for 12 rounds. 2005 Wlad would have boxed circles around Stiverne.

Peters power was and still is incredibly overrated. At least Stiverne proved his against Arreola

    Stiverne

Stiverne would beat any man not named Wilder, the man has the STRONGEST cheen in the world.

Peter got outboxed by a fat, punch drunk, 55 year old shot MW.

Well if their fighting each other, I'd think Stiverne counters Peter and stops him cold. But Peter stylewise has a much better chance against a Klitshko because he's more aggressive, and is better at cutting off the ring against taller opponents.

I think it's weird that some people find the comparison laughable. Stiverne's counter-punching and combinations more than make up for Peter's ability to cut off the ring imo. They've both got some nice moves and some big flaws, and both hit extremely hard, usually carried around too much weight, and probably are faster handed than given credit for. Peter scored one good KD against Klitschko. Not exactly a moment so strong as to make the whole argument, since it was the tail end of the version of Klitschko who got knocked down a lot. Is Peter's performance in his victories over McCline and Maskaev and a controversial one over Toney really that much of a H2H boost? Peter has more on his record which is why I didn't say who did more or has a higher place in the history of ABC champs. But just straight H2H, I don't see that it's a laughable comparison!
