Post-Prime incarnation, albeit still very dangerous version, lost competitive fights to Frazier and Norton. Even then Ali won rematches.
Most would affirm that prime Ali would NOT have lost to Joe and Ken.

    Just because you're the h2h number 1 of a division, doesn't mean you're unbeatable.

So should we have a nr. 1 who lost to Schmeling, to McCalll and Rahman, to Douglas and old Holy, to Fireman Flynn and Tunney or is Marciano the only acceptable answer?

Yeah, you'd think that would go without saying since almost everyone lost.

Lewis and Bowe were better than Holyfield and Moorer but the difference is not steep enough for this to matter. If prime Foreman demolishes Holyfield and Moorer I see no reason he can't do the same to the whole group.

Bowe wasn’t even that hard to hit with his leaky defence and before Stewart took charge of Lewis’s training Lennox was very vulnerable to big shots and you can guarantee a younger faster Foreman would land and when he does could Lewis hold on long enough I doubt it

Where would Usyk be on this topic, because some things have changed?
