H2H, Joe Louis vs Sonny Liston; who ya got?

This would be a great fight,with some good exchanges,I just think Liston would win by a knockout.

 

I rate Louis #1 at HW, but don't think he would this H2H match-up. Liston KO 7...I would not be surprised to see Louis win a rematch or trilogy, but based on 1 fight I would lean towards Sonny!

 

I'm going with Louis, by KO. A few years ago knowing less about boxing and Louis in particular I probably would have went with Sonny. Now after watching tapes of Louis and how compact his punches were, and his speed, I'm picking him. But frankly it's a tough call and it could go either way.

 

This is my # 1 fantasy fight of all time. My # 1 heavyweight all time vs my # 3 heavyweight all time. Ive gone through so many scenarios in my head and I could type a whole page on how I think the fight goes, but I believe Louis ultimatley wins a split decision over louis, the difference is Joe's sharper faster punches land more cleanly more often.

 

I think Louis would stop him late after a gruelling one in which Liston has pulled ahead on the cards.

 

I'm gonna go with Louis, barely. Liston would be beating him with the jab but Louis was the more compact, sharper puncher and eventually late in the fight would start to hurt Liston.
