here's an alternative list, of greats who could beat any other at the weight Jersey Joe Walcott Lloyd Marshall Jock McAvoy Zivic Ike FW ? BW ? Lynch don't know enough about the smaller guys, but ALL of these fighters could beat anyone in history at their weight(top Giants exclude), and are just as great as any, though in some instances not number 1 persay.
I didn't say it wasn't reasonable. I said it was a leap of faith. How many meaningful victories did he have at mw? For me it comes to assuming he'd be just as good as he was at smw/lhw. That's where the faith goes in. I'm tempted to put him in as my guy at mw (still vacant at present)
your 1st bad post in at least a long while . U think Arnold Cream could ever beat George Foreman ? or David Tua ? or Jameel McCline "even" ? Cream might have lasted d 12 rds distance with Tua something like 1 time out of 5 , being generous 2 Cream of course . If u picked Lloyd Marshall @ LHW , remember he was a MW at most . do u c him ever beating Michael Moorer @ 175 ? Muhammad Qawi ? @ 168 , do u really think he could have beaten Gerald McClellan ? or r u 1 of those who think that Benn "actually beat" McClellan ? @ 160 i m also having trouble imagining him beating McClellan . McClellan was bigger , more durable and about as hard punching . could Fritzie Zivic ever beat WSJ ? could Ike Williams ever beat Armstrong ?
Hopkins? And considering my four picks for MW would probably be B-Hop Jones Jr Monzon and Hagler I'd say it's a pretty reasonable choice
Heavy: Ali (Predictable I know) Lightheavy: Michael Spinks Middle: Carlos Monzon Welter: Sugar Ray Robinson (Another predictable choice, sorry) Light: Pernell Whitaker (Duran is just as acceptable, but I like the less popular choice) Feather: Sal Sanchez Bantam: Maybe Carlos Zarate, not too sure Fly: No idea.
Well, your point was 'how would he beat Wlad?' His point was 'excluding the big oafs like Wlad' :good
