And that ends my debate with you. Aside from what a flimsy basis 'what the professionals say' is to make your own decision, that you think a one-dimensional banger like Benn (much as I loved him for the excitement) could live with someone with the talent of Toney is in my opinion, evidence of someone who doesn't know much about boxing. Benn would be PERFECT for Toney! It wouldn't last 4 rounds.

Lockett managed to hold an alphabet title and make it to mandatory challenger with a major organization. Whether he was well known or not, those facts mean he wasn't just a club fighter. The two guys Eubank fought while abroad at the time he fought them are on a completely different level.

    Wrong.

If you look back a couple of pages on this forum, you should find a thread called 'Lewis not an ATG' where I argued with the starter and wrote at length about how I think Lennox Lewis is definitely an ATG, and that I believe he may be the best heavyweight ever H2H.

I always base my opinions on the evidence I have seen in the ring, nothing else whatsoever, and most definitely not nationality. I'm from Scotland and my favourite fighters ever are from Panama, Nicaragua, and the Philippines. When are people going to get over these petty nationalistic rivalries, it just holds us all back.

    You silly little tools.

Tired of getting embarrassed more like. You haven't made one decent point on this entire thread.

calzaghe's quick feet, movement and attack would have given toney problems stylewise. a fighter with great quick movement and awkwardness is the antidote for toney's sluggish movement imo. but i think benn's none stop come forward attack would have played directly into toney's hands. trading, slipping and countering in the pocket for extended durations is where toney was unbeatable.

Toney wasn't as sluggish 91-94 as he is now remember.

    You are an idiot.

That's Martin Luther King Jr. dumbass. The pic is simply a metaphor for a supposed man of peace that resists... thus making him less a man of peace. The point? To counter the idea that Malcolm X was the militant one and MLK was the passive one. The truth is, it's the opposite.

But, you're too ****in' stupid to understand that.

    ****in' jackass...

I agree, people who think Calzaghe has a shot against prime Toney have never seen Toney in his prime. There is quite a gap in skill level between them. Toney's prime was in 93-94 and not 91-92 as was already incorrectly assumed here. Calzaghe's style was taylormade for the counter expert Toney who can also deal pretty well with southpaws ( Nunn, Jirov, reggie Johnson...)

Later that year he'd have the most impressive performance of his career against Mike McCallum. I'd say he was at his very best at MW(when he came in shape).
