Keep it simple, stupid. You can respond with as many paragraphs and as much verbiage as you like. Just admit it...you hate Mike Tyson.

No he didn't.. The reason being that Foreman was much stronger than Tyson who was rather weak in clinches.

Holyfield mixing it up with Tyson and getting off first would be one of the key qualities to beat Tyson, Holyfield would have always bullied him.

On only needs to watch Tyson getting KTFO by Douglas to realise Mike wouldn't be able to handle a combination power puncher like Holyfield.

Did Tyson look on top of his game in the Douglas fight to you? How did his head movement look to you? How were his combinations?

The reason being.... Buster Douglas didn't allow him to. End of discussion.

Douglas didn't let him use head movement or attempt to throw combinations? That's ludicrous.

Douglas was able to get off and do "his thing" because Tyson wasn't doing the things that got him to the top. Head movement was there but fell off real quick. Body punches were there but Tyson abandoned them and started head hunting because he wasn't prepared for a rough go.

Douglas didn't have anything special Tyson hadn't seen before. Tyson was accustomed to this style from an early age. Cutting corners in training and looking past Douglas was his downfall. Hey, it happens.

Tyson's head movement was never a constant thing that he'd do consistently for entire rounds, round after round, on every attack. Tillis, Ribalta, Biggs, Tucker, whatever, longer fights you'd see him plod forward for long spells in rounds with little use of head weave. Still was effective, mind you. I do believe Kevin Rooney was a good influence though, because often you'd seen Tyson remember to do the head movement or combinations on Rooney's instructions.

So cutting corners and looking past Douglas is a legitimate excuse for Tokyo?

Well I'll give Smoking Joe a pass for Foreman then seeing as he was older, had way more ring wear and tear, had previously been hospitalised for hypertension and kidney problems...oh and was blind in one fukking eye!

Put's things in perspective when you automatically assume Tyson was better than Frazier because of the Foreman fight as so many Tyson fans dismissively seem to do.

Definitely Frazier deserves all of that to be taken into consideration. The first Ali fight really knocked a lot of fight out of him. And he'd taken punishment before that, and, yes, his eyesight was failing him from the amateur days onwards.

In my opinion, Foreman proved more in the Norton win, despite the low opinion some people have of Norton. At least Norton was a fighter in good form, at his peak. Frazier was damaged goods already, despite being favourite to beat Foreman.

No he was able to do his thing because he was landing hard shots early and got Tyson's respect. He had Tyson buying feints all night long, no fighter gave it to Tyson like that before and he couldn't handle it. You go on and on about Tyson's excuses but I want to know what you think about Douglas not being 100%? After all he'd been pretty badly ill just prior to the fight, I suppose this doesn't count hey....

It doesn't count Wass, because it isn't true that Buster was ill before the Tyson fight. The mother of his child was ill, and his own mother passed away three weeks before the fight. But, Buster was in the best shape of his career and used these family tragedies to galvanize his fighting spirit like never before. So, please check your sources next time you go on one of your (constant) anti-Tyson rants.

Douglas was injected with penicillin the day before the fight apparently. He had bronchitis, flu-like symptoms, swollen tonsils.
    Hey, it happens.
