let's put it this way if Haye approches 54 pro fights he will have more that 3 losses... Look as annoying as he is I think he's got a good offense but he is way to easy to hit. Wlad would put him on his ass quickly, I mean has Haye ever taken a big right to the scale that wlad or Vit would be throwing

there was a good argument made earlier on this thread that Wlad was more talented but Haye would be considered better P4P... Haye just weighted in at 215 and I can see him going comfortable to 225 where as Wlad regularly fights between 235 and 245...personally I think the P4P would still be in Wlad's favor but if Haye were back down at 190-195 he would make a better case.

Wlad does need to work on his uppercut but are you intentionally leaving out his left hook? that is a mean punch and may be better than his straight right... I mean he anhilated Ray austin with it and made sam peter stumble all over the ring...not to mention his earlier fights (Ray Mercer/ Botha...

Again though, these are standard punches that any pro boxer can throw. He has been gifted with size and power, but he doesn't do anything out of the ordinary. Haye does.

When you base it on talent!!!

Haye must have some to be Unified Cruiser champ and have the awesome amateur record he had! Wlad is also equally talented and i'm not writing him off!!! Is it because of his passport! :patsch

Not really a fair comparison. In Haye's 10th and 11th fights he fought former world champions, in his 21st fight he fought for the undisputed cruiserweight championship. Look at the calibre of opposition Wlad was fighting in his 10th, 11th and 21st fights. It doesn't compare.

so he's supposed to throw unorthodoxed punched? His Jab is by far the best in the division, his straight right is top 3 and his hook may be the best as well. if you have 3 punches that work the way his do why throw anything out of the ordinary?

for argument sake is it those "out of the ordinary" punches that get haye off balance and make him easy to hit?

Wlad stays on balance and has good defense but he should probably throw something flashy that doesn't mean much just to entertain the boxing fans?

Thompson? The Thompson that got knocked out in five of his six losses against very mediocre opposition but could take anything the "monster puncher" Haye could dish out at age 40? Thompson was a champion in a very poor division, the Cruiserweights of the 90's make todays HWs look like ATG's. You seem to have very limited knowledge of Wlad. Yes, since Steward he is a two punch fighter but that doesn't reflect his talent. When you see his early fights, pre-Steward you can see what he is actually capable of. Steward turned him into a more successful but lesser fighter. He has a wide offensive arsenal but he never uses it anymore.

but he was fighting heavyweights...also the 10th and 11th fights of his career in the shallow talent pool of the cruiser weight division don't make your point all that convincing... he lost to a 40 year old carl thompson in his 11th fight...

I'm not sold on your position, Hayes first 22 fights or so compared to Wlads first 22 are pretty close to even, it's the next 22 that will make or break Haye...

he could do just fine but I personally don't think he'll go too long with out being Ko'd

Haye is more tallented and would also beat Wladimir head to head match up.

I think its pretty even, both have their strength and weaknesses over each other.

Right now Haye is much more exciting though, but I'd still fancy Wlad to win when they fight.

Haye is more talented physically. P4P I think he's a little quicker, and he's more relaxed in the ring.

Overall Wladimir is a more talented fighter, because he excels in the basics, whereas Haye neglects them.
