well pacquiao had all the advantages, faster feet, hands, feints, head movements, volume punching, power on both hands....
    vs
    ring iq, timing, counter punching...

draw, sd, md, ko. looks like all marquez wins to me.

won 3 decisively ?... nah bro marquez won the 3rd fight close but clear and obviously won the 4th.

first 2 is a toss up (i felt pac got the first and marquez the second)

ATG ranking pac is higher pretty easily but H2H marquez will always have the style to trouble pac and beat him

    ATG? Pac.

As far as they matchup? Marquez. I gave Pac the first, and thought Marquez took the last 3.

I thought he won the second by a RAZOR SHARP CLOSE decision.

He won the third clearly I thought, and the last one speaks for itself.

With all the advantages in speed, power, athleticism, and movement. Pac just lacks the ring IQ and brain power it takes to take down a HIGH IQ Counter puncher.

There is no doubt about who won their rivalry, its JMM. 2 wins(one KO) 1 drew and 1 lost simple.

Against eachother I would say JMM but not by much

Overall career wise it's Pacquiao and by a long way.

Even the odious guy ringside who had vapors rubbed into his hand and virtually thrust his hand up his fallen idols nostril failed to wake him

Marquez has Mannys number, Manny has the greater chance of beating more diverse fighters with his supreme speed.

Possibly. We'll never get to know though will we? No hating, he spent his entire career fighting washed up once greats, weight drained guys, or punch bags. And if he could he combined all three

Manny could have been a legit ATG. Instead he chose the easiest route possible, the money route, and in the process denied us fans the opportunity to see just how good he really was

Manny will go down as an ATG, and he's a solidified HOF'er.

I think Marquez beats him while they're on their best nights, I do however think that Marquez would run into problems vs. Bradley/Cotto, where Manny Pacquiao beat them up imo.

JMMs prime was at 135, and about 6 years ago. The main reason for him moving up the weights was to rematch Pacquiao

In JMMs prime, Cotto was 140/147 so that wouldn't have happened

Prime for prime Manny was far better than Bradley, and Juan gave that version of Manny hell

If you're talking about the prime Pacquiao who battered Cotto, then you have to use the prime 135 version of Marquez

PAC. It took Marquez 4 fights and a lot of pee to get a lucky punch. If not for that punch he would have a very disfigured face and who knows what. While PAC had beaten bigger tough guys in just one fight.
