Not really, Sam is awkward and fighting him won't give us a guide how Geale is going in terms of improvement.

Someone suggested he fight in the states on Friday night ESPN shows. That would be a good learning curve against some up and coming prospects over there.Problem is the money issues, he probably gets more fighting Sam and Co over here.

Geale fighting Sam Soliman now is a step backwards imo. As everyone has said he should head overseas and take on some good middleweights on US tv/undercards etc. I bet him and his management don't though.

Only 'a genius' could have seen the excitement of a return match with Geale, prior to the initial bout.

Should this eventuate, its a bigger prospect than Green/Mundine II by a long mile.

Hopefully this bout will occur in Melbourne, in the midst of the summers entertainment.

Khoder knows the meaning of $$$$... he should encourage it to be faught in Vic.

No thanks because Bika is a super middleweight so what weight would it be at. I don't want to see Geale fight a weight drained shell at 160 and Geale is too small to be fighting at 168. If they were the same size then i would be all for this matchup but their not.

With Bikas lack of opponents coming forth, a match 1kg above middle would be plausible. Hardly a neccessary fight for Geale.. just a thought.

Why doesn't Bika and Pittman fight at 168 ? They both are constantly saying that they can't get fights etc.

  8. It'd be a step back in terms of a quality opponant but he'd only fight Soliman for bigger profile in Australia I think.

I saw on the news last night that the rematch with mandy has been ordered by the IBO officials. What does mandy do? Does he relinquish the belt and say been there done that or grow some nuts & fight him again to prove without doubt who the superior fighter is. Real champions of the past would of demanded the rematch immediately to prove this. But fighters of the past are few and far between.

    Couldn't agree more.
This should prove either way whether Mandy really has balls or not.
Here we have Geale absolutely busting to get back in the ring with him to get back what belongs to him.
And in the other corner we'll likely have Mandy frantically trying to decide what the best way is of ducking him.:patsch

If Mandy does the right thing, I'll give him full credit.

If Mandy runs, the huggers better pull their heads in once and for all.:deal

Mundine was quoted as saying he schooled Geale last time (or similar - can't remember exactly what b/s spin he put on it)

...this mandatory 'aint even a big step Anthony...your move big fella!

Mundine has thrown a belt away before, i'm sure he won't worry too much about doing it again.

Well it all depends on what Mundine's intentions are. If they are in fact to step up (as he constantly says so), and decide to take his talents overseas and fighting real contenders, then I have no problem with him vacating and avoiding Geale. He has so much more to gain fighting overseas than just to defend a meaningless belt against an opponent he has already beat (although disputed).

If however he vacates and then decides to fight someone a caliber of a Pablo Nievas then I agree with you, the guy deserves all the criticism he gets for having balls the size of peanuts.

Judging from recent history I think I'll be betting on the later as more likely.
