Good he feels threatened. I hope every single fight is a 'non-title' fight and the fighters stop paying these sanctioning fees. If that happens then we can finally put an end to these organizations and perhaps just have one title for each division in the near future.

fights don't have to be for titles or eliminators to be 12 rounds.

Well, that just goes to shows you type of character those two have! No loyalty to the boxing organizations that deemed them World Champion!

I'm sure if the sanctioning fee was reasonable, they would have paid.

But putting a percentage on it depending on revenue was BS. They aren't promoting the fight, nor investing anything, so I don't think they deserve being treated as share-holders.

The orgs need to recognize they are there for the legitimacy of the sport; and not to profit off the fighters, causing conflicting interests.

he talks as if he s boxing royalty or some ****, and they should be honored to wear his crown. ****ing leech.

all boxers should **** off the alphabets and just fight the best based on ring rankings. if everyone ignored it, we might get some order in here.

**** all ratings, including the ring, surely we would benefit if fights were based solely on public demand.

Hahaha, poor sanctioning bodies. Especially the WBA. They've done so much to help boxing become more popular with their farcical multiple belts in the same division. Boo hoo

The organizations themselves are the reason this happens. They create several belts at each wieght and then you add all the organizations including the minor ones. A lot of people can't tell whats what with the belts.and being there are dozens of titles available at each weight class their value diminishes. I love the fact Mayweather avoided the belt and its fees.

Having said that, I don't think this will become a major trend. There aren't many fighters who carry the clout that Mayweather or Pacquaio do. To the vast majority of the fighters a title means something. Both professionaly and financially.
