Had 23 bouts,fought 6 champs,titleholder ?

    They don't make guys like me anymore...In my 3rd and 4th bouts, I beat 2 great champions. Fought SIX champions in my 23 bouts, won a title, retired
    and performed in vaudeville...Who am I ?

    Surf, you got it ! Jimmy Britt was an early phenom who in his 3rd fight stopped Kid Lavigne, and in his 4th fight stopped Frank Erne,both ex champs. Soon after Jimmy britt fought Joe Gans twice, Young Corbett ,
    Battling Nelsn twice, Terry McGovern, and the great uncrowned champion
    Packey McFarland. He beat Battling Nelson in 1904 for the LW title...
    No fighter ever packed so many great opponents in just 23 pro bouts ever.
    Britt quit boxing in 1909 , to persue his first love as a vauderville performer.
    Quuite a chap was Jimmy Britt whose brother was Willis Britt, who was affiliated with the demonic Stanley Ketchel...
