How would he have fared against this lot? Remember people, David was a legit ATG CW. Phenomenal fighter at that weight. Can you imagine Dorticos/Haye or Gassiev/Haye? Jesus...
Haye has a good chance to knock out Usyk. I don't see where Breidas is better than Haye either...maybe I'm watching the wrong fights? Haye is even more difficult to time can fight orthodox or unorthodox and had speed and a punch over those guys. I don't know? I think Haye beats Holyfield too imop.
Anyone can be stunned / hurt. Mormeck was knocked out by Bell then defeated him 2 fights later. I've never seen Dorticos that much so I can't comment on him. Assuming he's not as good as Breidas wouldn't swerve my opinion.
Briedis and Usyk both school the **** out of Haye and possibly stop him late. Gassiev would administer the most brutal knockout Haye has ever suffered. Haye vs Dorticos would be competitive but Haye stops him mid rounds.
Haye would have smashed them all. Look how many uppercuts and massive right hands Briedis landed on Saturday. One of them from the Hayemaker and its lights out.
Haye was/is a fraud. . . . .In any fight he would hurt his toe, his hair, his ear lobe and STILL would be beloved by some delusional British fans.. . . . that is so mysterious.
Hate him as alot of people do but Haye was a legit proven ATG CW. No one schools Haye at that weight, he also carries dynamite in both hands. Try again.
How so? He has Mormeck. After that: Fragomeni who he stopped with rabbit punches, was feather fisted and lost to Wlodarczyk and a 178lb Erdei Macca - Glass jaw extraordinaire Gurov - Euro level glass jaw Glen Kelly - stopped by Briggs at LHW in his prior notable fight after being made famous in RJJ embarrassment fest. Bonin - Complete nobody with a padded record who got stopped by Fraudley Really is a trash lineup, what did he prove at CW again?
Haye was a phenomenal athlete and had explosive punching power. Hard to see how his ambush style would play out with today's cruisers. This group overall is much better than the era he fought in, but he had the talent to beat any of these guys. However he has always been a head case and something tells me if he was pushed by one of today's elite cruisers he'd fold somehow.
Wish we could've seen it. Haye was a heck of a fighter there, but I think the Achilles' heel of his conditioning and having an OK, but not great, chin would've made this a tough tournament for him to win. He'd certainly be a player. Maybe he would've won..... but any of the top 4 could've beaten him without me considering it a shock.
LOL against Enzo the weakest of the champions.....says it all. Haye was an excellent cruiserweight but outside of Mormeck his resume was pretty basic, the cruiserweight division is way better now than when he was there.
