Had Calzaghe lost to Hopkins...

    surely if he hates the guy he'd relish the opportunity to beat up on him and make him respect him? or deep down does he think he lost and another hopkins rematch is too dangerous

    Veit was a mandatory both times he fought him.

    He hates the guy so much, he wont give him a rematch, wont let him make money off fighting him again. He's got the win over Hopkins, he doesn't need the rematch, he's just going to let Bernard stew. Bernard will always have that loss on his record, and will always wonder hoe he would have done against Joe in a rematch. He'll never get to find out, and thats probably the worst punishment for a guy like Bernard. Bernard deserves another shot, and he won't get it. Joe has never even let the thought of losing enter his head, let alone have some deep down feelings of failure. There's no doubt in my mind Joe thinks he beat Hopkins, hell he doesn't need to think it, because he knows it.
