    McCarty was a fast riser, gone at at the age of 21.

    A quick review of his resume shows McCarty did better vs Willard, Moran, and Flynn and Kaufmann did in comparison to Johnson himself.

    Yes - I think McCarthy would have beaten Johsnon on points by late 1913, early 1914 had he lived. Given his young age, he could have been a very good Jack Dempsey opponent too.

    I never saw McCarty on film.

    I know about the existence of the film only from newspaper articles. To my knowledge, it has not survived.
