I fought in my 6th fight last night. I can't help but be disappointed with my performance. I really am getting frustrated, because in the gym I can fight open fighters with 30 plus fights, and pros, but I am having trouble with the Novice class. I don't know if it is performance anxiety or what? I know I am a good fighter, and know I can pack a punch, but cannot stop thinking of myself as worthless. MANNNNNNNN :patsch

Nerves can mess up anyone's performance, just gotta get rid of the self doubt I guess.

I did pick up the win, but I feel like i let everyone down. My friends, the crowd, and my team. I guess its like I am fighting to the ability of my opponent. Videos to follow, just waiting for them to upload

I fought sloppy as heck, the entire crowd was expecting the stoppage, and I was the main event to the show. I will post the video shortly to show you what i mean virus.

One thing you need to remember is you aren't there to please the crowd, if you can win and look good that's great but dont try to look good and put the win at risk. A sloppy w looks better than any L

Thank you for the advice. Video should be up soon. I am not very good at putting videos together on iMovie. Since, the video was recorded on my iPhone it recorded in HD, so I am trying to upload it now.

You can see it in your movement, you seemed to be hesitating and waiting for him to move first. Try working off a rhythm, you don't need to stop and load up before every punch you throw. It's like you're holding your breath and hoping for the best every time you throw a punch. You seem to be thinking about landing a big shot to win the fight, focus on your boxing and the process, not the end result.
Put it behind you and focus on what you want to improve, forget about judging yourself. Work on your movement and when it comes to fight time think about your opponent instead of worrying about yourself. Don't be self-conscious, make him self-conscious.
