Wait a second there. Lipiniets, Broner, Zlaticanin, Burgos, Martinez, Salido and Barros are all quality wins but lets not get carried away. Mikey hasn't achieved all that much. Golovkin has as impressive of a resume. And the problem with Mikey is that his best wins came nearly 5 years ago. There is a large cap.
he has to be top 10... hes undefeated and a 4 weight class champion... with decent names on the list..
When has Garcia ever been ripped? His work rate was what it needed to be to beat a tough, undefeated, game opponent. You act as if Lipinets was trash. It was a well fought, competitive fight. Lipinets is much more talented than a guy like Ray Beltran, who another pound for pound guy is moving up in weight to face.
Funny how some people have a sliding scale depending on the boxer, as to what type of opposition makes them a top pound for pound fighter. If Crawford, and Lomachenko are considered to have fought tough enough opposition to be in the top five, then Garcia should be in the top five.
Yep, Arum offered Garcia the Gamboa fight before he gave it to Crawford. Garcia refused and sat out his contract for two and a half years. If he'd honored his agreement with Arum he could have had every fight Crawford got in that period.
Garcia doesn’t belong anywhere near a pound for pound list. He has beaten literally no one, and his punching power has always been greatly overrated. He needs to move back down where he has a size advanatage. He is making the same mistake as Broner, pretending that he is a pound for pound superstar who can climb up weight divisions. He’s delusional and needs to recognise his limitations as a B grade fighter. To his credit he has chosen impotent fighters as he has gone up and avoided anybody live, and he did mention that he would go back to 135. He also mentioned going to 147, which he absolutely shouldn’t do. Even a Lipinets level contender there will beat him. Guys like Crawford and Spence would decapitate him. Linares is his ceiling, probably the best fighter he could potentially beat. Lomachenko would embarrass him, fortunately for Garcia he has the Top Rank excuse to avoid that fight.
You, and the rest of Lipinets fans...all in your heads knew that Lipinets would lose. You all came to the conclusion that he would lose. My take before they fought is why did they take this tough of a fight and he just won the title?
This. Broner would've been a good win back in 2013, but since the Maidana loss doesn't seem to have it at the top level anymore. Zlatocanin's is tiny and his only significant win is Ricky Burns coming off a loss to Crawford. Lipinets is way too green to be fighting someone as experienced as Garcia. Garcia's best win is Salido, but that win deserves an astrisk, since Garcia clearly took the easy way out of that fight. Garcia was gassing badly late in the fight and would've got stopped if not for the TD.
Winning these titles don't mean a thing if they did he would have beaten elite fighters for them he wouldn't have moved up and picked the champions he wants to fight
You keep hearing his so great he never ups the gears if he can and he gets hit a hell of alot but no one seems to notice that lol
Then you watched a different fight, as for your other post because him and his team aren't pussies like the Gervonta Davis' of the world who come up with a million excuses why they can't or wont fight guys they don't want to. Your mentality, this mentality is why boxing has fallen so far out of favor. Almost no one wants to take tough fights because people like you write off fighters that take loses. Plus I already said, I thought Garcia was appointed Lipinets Mandatory. Are you just ignoring that part?
My mentality is getting a guy experience to be able to face a guy like Garcia. Your mentality is to see good fights and not care how a professionals career pans out just as long as you saw a good fight. And what do you mean appointed? Lmao...
