Canelo did fight Golovkin and Mayweather. He didn't beat them, but he fought them. I can't think of many active fighters right now who have even fought two p4p guys.

I have WAY more respect for Garcia than I do for Canelo. Canelo is a juicer, BIG TIME. The difference between Garcia and Canelo is Canelo only fights fighters when they are on the downward slide. He held off on fighting GGG until he was 35. Garcia fights guys anytime.

Yeah good point, some guys are just tough and don’t get knocked by anyone in their own weight class,Maidana came the nearest against Broner.
Well have to see with Mikey, such was his power and explosiveness at 130-135 and the way he was knocking em out you’d of thought there’d be more waiting at 140 just not Lipinets and Broner right?

Well both Broner and Lipinets have some skill and ability themselves. Both are fairly defensively sound, and when hit flush, neither has exhibited glass. When they went down, they got back up. When you fight higher skill level guys, knockouts are harder to come by. Look at a power punching guy like Maidana. When the level of opposition went up. His KO's stopped happening.

Where are these devastating one punch knockouts from Garcia? Go back through his fights, even when he is landing his flushest punches he isn’t one punching anyone, despite being big for the weight class. Garcia has always had incredibly overrated power. Judging by the Martinez fights you’d think that Lomachenko is the bigger puncher. Even the Salido fight, Garcia was catching him off balance and Salido was never really hurt the way he has been with other opponents.

Good point. Fighting Lara and Trout was actually commendable, even if I think the judges helped him get both Ws. I figured Oscar would be feeding Canelo old men, and 140 pounders his whole career. Fighting Trout, and then Lara was a total surprise.

This is not a criteria for determining a fighter's boxing ability, when compared to others. Popularity means feck all.

I know, that was my point. If you’re knocking down a guy that easily without hurting him then how good is your power? Salido does go down easily and he has been hurt before. Garcia has pretty good timing and Salido is quite wild and off balance at times, that’s how the knockdowns happened.

He downed Salido four times, and Loma fought a weight drained Salido a year and a half later, and scored a late knockdown but still lost.
