The last round of the fight salido won, team garcia threw the towel in their boy was taking punishment and his head was leaking. Salido is notorious for starting slow and finishing strong, team garcia could not take the heat they had to call the ref to end the fight.

wtf are you talking about? the guy is setting himself up to go after a 5th title in his 5th weight division and you want to talk about easy roads? boxing is full of titlists who cant muster the courage to go after another titlist in their own and only weight division, yet this guy keeps taking steps forward while all the rest want to step sideways, and you want to give him chit?

maybe so if it was full of star names but as Crawford found
yeah totally a point lost on folk who diss Golovkin for not KOing Jacobs and Canelo, probably as much to do with how the better fighters roll with the punches better ect?

Maybe, he means it like people who say that about Floyd. Compared to what he could do, he's underachieving and not challenging himself. He had the potential to do great things but he played it relatively safe and cashed checks. Meanwhile, a guy like Salido is reaching for every brass ring and somehow manages to fight Lomachenko, Marquez, Garcia, Guerrero, Gamboa, and Lopez when he was a p4per. Who was Salido's promoter/manager/trainer? The guy had nothing behind him and look what he still managed to achieve in this sport.

Garcia and Salido both weighed 140 pounds. Loma weighed 135 vs 147. Loma actually hurt Salido when he threw punches. Salido was trying to survive against Lomachenko, Garcia was trying to survive against Salido when that fight was stopped.
Then keep in mind that Salido is arguably Garcia’s best victory.

That’s a good comparison, you could say Mikey does the bare minimum expected of him,Broner,Lipinets don’t sound like they should be the top opposition of a PFP elite fighter.

He’s setting himself up against paper titlist’s for paper titles so he can claim he is a four division champion. Garcia is everything that is wrong with boxing, he is even worse than Broner.
Garcia is too much of a coward to fight anybody worthwhile in his own weight division, he is dodging Linares to go after someone with 13 fights and still getting bashed around. I would love for Garcia to go forwards, but he’s not even in the game. He isn’t trying to fight anyone. His best win is Salido ffs. Garcia has never fought the best in any division he has been in, yet he carries on as if he is a superstar who deserves more money than anyone. He thinks he is Floyd, he is a diva and a fraud. As I said, Garcia represents everything that is wrong with pro boxing.

To be fair, there hasn't been massive amounts of big names hovering around his weight classes when he was in them. If he'd really wanted them though, I suppose he could have challenged Uchiyama, Crawford, Linares, and Lomachenko for supremacy of one of the divisions instead of as you put it hunting for paper titles.

    This.

Garcia acts as if he's some kind of star, yet he fights like an accountant. Just does enough to win while taking the absolute minimum chances even while holding all physical/ talent advantages.

What are you talking about. Floyd was 36 years old. He wouldn't fight GGG until he was 35. He fought Lara when he was 31, who had KO'd less than half his opponents and went the distance against Trout in his previous fight. Alvarez always carefully selects his opponents. He never expected to beat Floyd but he knew he would get the credit for fighting him.
