I had it 143-142 Hagler with many close rounds that could go either way.

After few first rounds I thought that this would be an easy fight for Hagler. But Vito stepped up in the middle rounds hustling, swarming and scoring to make it really close.

Antuofermo was badly cut but he didn't stop comming forward. Hagler had problems inside and I thought before that there is no one at MW who could go toe to toe with Marvin at 160.

Great and exciting fight to watch and very difficult to score.

Jaffay, I too had it 143-142 Hagler (8-7 in rounds). And with a score of 8-7, I didn't have a problem with the draw decision.

I had it wide for Hagler. He landed all of the quality shots

I thought Hagler clearly won in a close fight. For some reason I always think about this fight when I think about a Hopkins-Hagler fantasy matchup.

This is how I saw it:

Vito Antuofermo - Marvin Hagler I

    1. 10-9 close, A starting fast, rough, body punching, H boxing, landing straights
    2. 9-10 H more effexrive, landing more with a jab and leads, counters, A rough lands single shots
    3. 9-10 clear, H landed solid jabs and leads, A ineffective
    4. 9-10 clear, H more effective, hits cleaner, A pressing
    5. 10-9 clear, best round for A so far, aggressive, landing hard and wild
    6. 9-10 H more effective, boxing, A attacking but missing
    7. 10-9 very close, A swarming all over, landing to the body, rough, lands some leads, H landed clearer though
    8. 10-9 A aggressive, landing more, swarming, H nice jabs
    9. 10-9 close, A swarming and scoring, H boxing, jabbing
    10. 9-10 very close, A aggressive, swarming and scoring, H jabbing and good ending, a lot of misses
    11. 9-10 brawl, both landed solid, H got the best of it and finished strong
    12. 10-9 very close, H 1st half, A finished strong with hard blows
    13. 10-9 A landing harder, H fights back
    14. 9-10 very close, H lands big shots, A sneaks good blows inside, a brawl
    15. 9-10 H clean blows inside, good uppercuts, landing hard, A brave, fighs back

4 very close rounds that could go either way and also 2 close rounds. I heard that Hagler was robbed before I watched it, but draw was a fair decision. Even of Vito had won I wouldn't mind it. He deserved it but so does Hagler.

I scored it for Hagler, although Marvin did seem to step off the gas towards the end,and Vito finished extremely strongly. Tough as nails Vito was. Like a middleweight George Chuvalo.

my old trainer thought there was something not quite right in that fight and that minter was only keeping the title warm for hagler

I felt Vito edged it and capped it in the 13th with a big flurry that backed Hagler up- I don't know if it was because I was shocked that Vito made the fight so close with his in-close bulling tactics.

I thought Hagler was going to walk through him but Vito surprised me...there were a lot of close rds and it was a hard fight to score but I watched again and thought the Draw was fair and would have been unfair if Hagler got the title based on those efforts.

Vito got the short end of the stick in Minter 1, that was a fight that I thought Vito won by 2 rds but another close rounds fight and hard to score.

The fight I loved with Vito was Eugene"Cyclone" Hart, that was an exciting fight and a good finish by Vito...Hart was one of my favorites out of Philly right below Benny Briscoe

Cyclone used to throw a triple hook

Vito said Hart hit him so hard he physically lifted his feet off the canvas, and that after tasting that kind of power he could take any shot.

He's very similar to Harry Greb in my opinion. The more I learn about him the more convinced I am that he was the best/cleverest of all time.

He should have been cast instead of Colin Clive when Frankenstein was filmed by Universal in 1931. For starters, I think he was still young enough at 74 to carry it off, and clearly mad enough. Secondly, subjecting poor Boris Karloff to that arduous makeup ritual would have become unnecessary, with somebody on the lot who could probably reanimate an actual corpse. Besides, they were using his technology anyway for special effects. Why not just hire the whole package? Wouldn't Frankenstein have been fun? (Hell, if I was Carl Laemmle, I would have just hired him to collaborate with James Whale, but then again, I am obviously an extremely demented and deranged individual to even think of such things.)
