Hagler-Antuofermo I: Vito was a tough, tough, tough fighter

Hagler appeared to show up to be annointed, while Vito felt being the champion was the greatest thing he had every done and fought all out to keep it.

Draw to me, was fair.

 

For many years I felt that Haglar got jobbed. It took me nearly 30 years to watch that fight a 2nd time. When I did I thought the draw was perfectly fair. Petronelli should have lit a fire under Marvin's ass instead of allowing him to coast in the last couple rounds. Unfortunately that would not be the last time they fought a stupid fight.

 

I thought that Hagler won it by a couple rounds, close fight. Hagler had the more effective shot thought out the bout, Vito did come home strong, but Marv should have gotten the belt. Goes to show that you should always finish strong and show the judges that you want to win.
