Are you denying that GGG'S resume is worse than Hopkins? What an embarrassing post.

You liar. Liar. Hagler wanted a big payday all along. Especially considering how long it took to get the big money and the fact that nobody wanted to fight him. Hearns and Duran were the only ones, and Duran was on account of lying moneymaker Arum who saw a chance for some easy bucks, to step up. And Hagler was semi retired as well. And no, they weren't bums. And I like GGG and defend him, you liar.

Quite frankly, the lightheavy division was **** when Hopkins moved up. And his record there is 9 wins 3 losses 2 no contests, draws and no ko victories. Hopkins greatness is due to his longevity, most certainly not his resume.

If Michael Spinks, Dwight Muhammed Qawi, Eddie Mustafa Muhammed, Victor Galindez, John Conteh, Matthew Saad Muhammed, James Scott and Marvin Johnson were waiting for Bernard Hopkins to move up to 175, I believe BHop would have thought twice about going there and would have considered moving up to and staying at 168, although that division wasn't around when that crew was getting started.

They're on par, with the same solid but not spectacular opponents.

Hopkins 2 best wins are against much smaller big name fighters, the same would have been said for Golovkin but Cotto and Canelo ducked.

Also throw in that Golovkin is barely breaking a sweat and he hasn't been dropped by the likes of Mercado and struggled with the likes of Robert Allen.

Well prove me wrong are you saying

Allen, Daniels, Hakkar, Eastman, Joppy, Holmes, James, Council, Brown and Vanderpool.

    are any greater than

Lemieux, Macklin, Murray, Monroe, Geale, Stevens, Adama, Rubio, Proska.

Both sets of opponents are around the same level, again I say solid but nothing special.

I think Joppy and Holmes beat all those names you mentioned. Probably Vanderpool too. But you'll disagree anyways, so what's the point?

I think Vanderpool and Joppy are overrated but agree that Holmes was a good often overlooked fighter.

But again I'm not trying to disparage Hopkins reign, I like Hopkins I just think people who claim it was a good era whilst saying this one is so weak either have an agenda or really aren't looking at the big picture.

    Don't misrepresent Hopkin's "guts".

He was thrown out of his division by Taylor, twice.

This is why he decided to move up.

Against Kovalev, he begged not to be KO'd and stank the joint (as usual).

Going up two divisions to take on Tarver was seen as a massive gutsy move at the time. He wasn't expected to win.

Why is GGG moving to light heavy?

    He who dares wins.

True but 175 is way more dangerous now than when Tarver and Johnson were champs.
